Hey peeps

New to the 701 and I've searched but haven't seen this exact problem or know if it's even considered normal.

When I connect the dock to the tablet, the dock drains in about 1.25 to 1.5 hrs. I was imagining 4 or so hours from it. Additionally, the tablet doesn't really charge from it, it just more or less maintains it's level.

I'm running stock 4.4.2 and when I first turned the tablet on, it automatically did a keyboard firmware upgrade before the first boot.
Keyboard docking seems good so far, the only other keyboard issue is that the @ and " are reversed.....hmmmm strange. That seems to be working now lol. I've just loaded ai type keyboard plus so that may have somehow sorted that particular glitch.

Your dock battery might be kaputt.
The way it should work: Tab runs off the tablet battery until it reaches 70% or so, then the dock starts to charge the tablet battery.
If the dock battery looses charge with the tablet battery being above 70% it's borked. My first one did the same thing, had it RMA'd.

Thanks for the info.

It doesn't drain until 70% but then it drains the dock battery in about 1.25 hours. In that time the tablet battery goes up a little bit. I figure that the dock gives me an extra 2 hours or so. What should I be expecting?
