Hello, no no, you're fine.

That means that the android OS used up 93% of the 6% you have used so far! That's VERY good battery life :D Be happy ;)

...

Hey man, if you´re joking, it´s okay but for sure it´s not a good batt life. Suspend and event/0 services is a very know bug with a lot of discussing even here in xda forum...

So long know with no effective solution until now. Very sad.

OK... Facebook was the jerk that destroyed my battery life. I even had it updating every 4 hours. I uninstalled facebook, rebooted, and where I would normally be at 15 or 20%, I'm at 50. I even tethered via wifi for a little bit today :)

facebook for android app was and is still never a good app to use for using facebook.. How I wish there's a better facebook app out there that alleviates the woes on our battery-draining plight when using this application. Heard numerous complains already on most people using this app and how this app is like a hog on the battery power of most smartphones (spanning phones like HTC, LG and etc).

Anyway, I'm glad dude that at least you have come up with some solution on your battery life problem, but how's your GPS wakelock issue? Is it still there in BetterBatteryStats?

couple advices

Well m8, do You accept couple advices?

/if yes read below, if not plase stop reading:p/

-use your Note when needed! Leave it to go deep sleep.. dont check the time every minute etc :)

-Turn off automatic brightness ( I use a widgetsoid widget with custom screen brightness % button)
- Turn off 3G network and turn back when you need to use it. (push mail will work on Edge and lower networks [gprs])
- I have background sync for google and manually added facebook account for contacts, but if you like you could turn it off as well. Important do not install facebook app! Rather browse facebook from browser and use facebook messages app.
- Uninstall all of the unsed apps via Titanium Backup (ofc make a backup before uninstalling)

**Will post my actual battery usage when it will be under 15%

Stay tuned, hope helped :)

Cheers

Oh and try out my config in my sign. It is very good I think!

This Thread is totally wrong in the way it is projecting Battery Timings

We can be a nerd and put a phone on Deep Sleep at 100 Mhz frequency in Flight Mode without using it for 7 days at a stretch..it will still breathe some life ;)

The REAL Battery Test is in the 'Display' or the 'On Screen Time' which implies the time the phone being actively used in whatever way.

Therefore , to really get the true picture , Recharge and use phone atleast 5-6 times on the same ROM & KERNEL Combination and then See and Post the On Screen Time or the Display Time in the APPLICATION--BATTERY USAGE--DISPLAY section in the Phone Settings. That is the real deal.

Mine is below : (Will be updating it if i get better results )

Well yes, If you are not using phone, deep sleep will always save battery.
My personal record of screen on time was 4:15 hours with 15% still remaining. That was with speed mod 1-5.

The onscreen time, does not give the brightness level, so their is quite a bit of room for brinkmanship.

John.

Brightness is anybody's personal comfort. So it cant be quantified specifically.

Its upto oneself to strike a balance between 'Good' Brightness and Battery Life.

And I think We have not bought Galaxy Note to use it at Dim levels. That Ruins the experience.

Its like running an LED with the mindset of a LCD.

And I think Brightness at 50% level with 'Automatic' option off is a good bet.

Wow, you guys must have eyes of steel to be able to handle 50% brightness. I can barely handle 10% brightness without my eyes turning red. Even my LCD monitors are all at 10/100 brightness setting. :D

Yippie ..100th Voter :p

10% ?

Can you see the stuff on the screen ?
Yes, surprisingly, even the Note's 0% brightness is still brighter than the HD2 I used to own at 30% brightness. But I keep it at 10% brightness on the Note to reduce the issue with the black pixelation.

Facebook WAS the GPS wakelock issue.

Then I had an issue with my router which wasn't there before. All I did was put a static IP, and I went from (standby and 2 hours of screen on time) 18 hours, to 50 hours of standby and 3.5 hours of screen on time. DAY AND NIGHT ISSUE!

Once again, my method was:
  • Get rid of Facebook (for GPS lock)
  • Use another app for my Facebook needs! (I have APW with the Key for Timeline)
  • Static IP to get rid of wlan_rx_wake issue.

Battery life has QUADRUPLED. Never been happier! :D

Hello Everyone! What's up?!

Well... here is my dump file and pictures that took right after I woke up (after fully charged and unplugged right before i went to bed)

would like to hear your guys' opinion and some advice of how can i improve. cause i think loosing 9% without using anything within 7 hrs and 45 mins is not really acceptable (correct me if im wrong)
