Battery service life with new firmware 1750.0805.8773.12220

When I leave my phone on standby and only sometimes send whatsapp message's, sms, check mail and call my phone is able to last for about 20 hours, when I do even less with it it will last for about 28 or more hours. For me it's about the same as the previous firmware.

However I've also noticed it can be drained really fast, last week I was chatting (typing) with someone with the Skype app and I was listening to music aswell at the same time (the headphone's I use are the re0 though, so they require a lot of power to be driven, but I'm also using a portable amp which allows me to turn the volume of the phone way down and the power should be drained from the amp?) and the battery went empty in about 2,5 hours. I was amazed by that and found it hard to believe, has anyone else expierenced such a situation?

after updating to 8773 my battery life remained unchanged on a 2g network bt as soon as i turn on 3g..my battery drain in like 12 hrs...i dont know what kind of update has been rolled out

I updated my Lumia 800 via zune and now I have firmware 1750.0805.8779.12221. couldnt notice any changes after 12140. confused...

Can you tell me what improved about 8779 than 8773?

didnt use long enough to tell the difference, it came through zune on top of 8773.12140 and there was still no facebook or twitter integration. so i installed 8773.12220 from scratch.
and after using for a while, I can clearly say that battery last far longer.

I have the same sort of problem. I can play a game fro 30 min and from fully charged it drops down into the red.
Could the forced update not work as well as updating from Zune?
