Maybe this has been asked elsewhere... but facing the fact that mostly our only option here is 3rd party batteries... has anyone tried one of the two (or more?) Chinese 3800mAh batteries? One is called an HSABAT (maybe the company) and the other a Da Da Xiong.

Here's the HSABAT "New 3800mAh BLP597 Battery" (I am not recommending or dissing this! Just interested if someone's tried it!):

And here's the Da Da Xiong 3800mAh BLP597 Battery:

AGAIN... neither of these have been tested by me. I am wanting input from anyone who has tested them. I know we sometimes have opinions re China, many of those opinions bogus, but folks our phones were made there. So maybe these are good. And maybe they are a joke. I hope for input from someone who's tried 'em.
I bought something very similar, Qian Simai 3850 mah battery. Was just 8 euro on alixpress. Have since measured with accu battery, and real capacity varies between 2600-2900. It's a cheap battery, but I still find it unacceptable when it's labeled 3850. Opened a dispute with alixpress, but they claimed it was within range. So overall its still better than my old battery, but i would not recommend a brand that cheats its customers.

Okay, I finally got around to trying a second ("new") third party battery I'd bought on ebay, also for a decent $12. And it surprised me. According to Accubattery, its design capacity is nearly as high as it ought to be. Should of course be 3,100 mAh. Is testing between 2,800 and 2,900 mAh. Not great.... but if you have an old dying battery this might help you roll on a while longer for a cheap price:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BARND-NEW-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

It is mailed in America, and I did quickly get an answer from the seller after purchase when I mistakenly thought it was too wide to fit (it does fit... JUST). Good luck...

Thanks Shonkin for your review! Can you tell us how is going after some time of use? I heard before that some batteries from ebay decrease its capacity very fast after some days of use.

The battery is doing as well as before, despite my having flashed about five roms (at least) over the past week, trying to find a version of Oreo that works well. (Frankly, I did not. Back on the Marshmallow factory rom - rooted, of course.) Accubattery still reports around 2,800, a steady mark. I note my Samsung Note 4's quite nice Anker battery runs just a hair better than that at 2,900 (also supposed to be at 3,100). Of course, I also paid twice as much for the Anker as I did for the no-name OnePlus 2 replacement. The only difference I see between 'em is that while both sleep quite well with minimal draining, the OnePlus can when being used with games really drain quickly. Without scientifically measuring, it seems to me the Note 4's battery drains overall a bit slower. (On both phones I use rooted roms, apply greenify liberally, and disable or remove all bloatware including the infernal face book app and its evil messenger companion.) But the bottom line is the same; if you need a battery, it worked out for me and hopefully will for you as well. Would like to hear what others find.

I already tried an "official" battery from aliexpress but it caused my phone to crash once in a while and didnt startup until i put the charging cable in
Just got off support from oneplus they give me their we dont sell spare parts sorry answer :(
However they told me it would cost around 30-35 euro to put in a new official battery this isnt much but i dont like sendign my device away the last time it took only 5 days but still.
Why cant we just buy spare parts

I only own a OnePlus 2 because I took two broken ones and made one good one. It is ridiculous to design a phone that is easily repairable and pretend that only your factory can fix it. And outright idiotic / grossly capitalistic is not even allowing end users to buy a new battery. Eighteen screws, a battery plug, and a gentle pry-out is all it takes to change the battery. Shame on OnePlus / Oppo for choosing to take the low road.

Because they won't make as much money that way.

But tbh, more people might buy batteries from them (even if they charged more than the ones on eBay) and that way they might make actually more money.

Don't know

Hey how are your experiences with the battery now? Are you still satisfied with it or did the performence worsen? I've also bought a battery on ebay(but another one) but now my battery performance is quite bad.

I have ordered this one now in hopes that it is good. Seems to be a reputable seller on ebay. I will tell here if it any good when i receive it. Bought one off Amazon previously after the OnePlus service center told me that they have exhausted supply themselves, but that was bad and i did get a full refund.

It's been a month now. Can you say anything about the quality of that battery. I really need a new one and OnePlus told me they ran out of stock and couldn't tell me if they ever restock on those.
