How To Guide BEFORE converting your device, RECORD YOUR IMEI!

Search This thread
There have been a lot of reports by those attempting to convert from CN to WW that they missed a step and wiped their IMEI.
Somehow, the same users have no box or stickers that tell them their old IMEI. Write down your IMEI before you flash anything.

Settings -> System -> About phone -> Status -> IMEI information

Hi! I have a Tencent ROG5 with WW ROM. (Do have the box it came in)
I was trying to unlock my boot loader and was able to successfully do it following this tutorial:

However, after flashing the WW firmware, I lost my IMEI. Shows as zero in settings. No signals etc also. Tried flashing the raw firmware from the tutorial again but to no avail. Forgot to backup my persist and modemst etc files. So, is there a way I can have my IMEI back. I tried tons of online tutorials to restore IMEI via QCN. Also I was lucky to get the stock QCN from another ROG 5 of a friend. Followed this tutorial for it:
It all goes as planned except for the last part where during qcn restore, It goes till like 3% and then phone auto reboots and shows a RAM DUMP screen from which I have to Force reboot and start. After reboot, The IMEI's still are 0. Any help would be much appreciated. I can see that there are many other people in the forum too having the same nulled IMEI ROGs. So, any halp as to restore them would be highly appreciated.

There are guides for how to fix it, but they're not mine. That's why I haven't responded to any of the posts.

This thread was warning you to record the IMEI BEFORE you start flashing. After it's wiped out, you will need one of the threads on how to restore it. I don't have the phone anymore, but you can't simply flash someone else's IMEI. You need to restore yours.
