Just started using Play Books as suggested in this thread, primarily because of the syncing feature. Does anyone know how long it takes to actually get your progress saved on one device such that you see it on another? Or what actually activates the syncing?

For example, if I'm on page 100 on my Nexus7 and I read 5 pages, and then open the same book on my phone immediately, will it open up to page 105? I did this exact operation (with diff page numbers) last night, and this morning my phone still hasn't synced to the page I read up to on the n7 for some reason.
Backing out of the book, to your library, should initiate a sync regardless of sync being enabled. Even launching the app should trigger a sync. I've found that it's relatively instantaneous, too, as I often jump from phone to tablet. Depending on the time, you might get a message to jump position, or stay on the secondary device. Are you leaving the book open on one of the devices? Leaving a book open on one end can result in a sync not being completed. You can also back out of a book, hit menu and refresh to ensure a sync is made.

I just got my new Nexus delivered to Bangkok and I am wondering if I can somehow migrate my kindle ebooks to Moon Reader. Search did not find anything, hence I assume not but worth to ask over here :). Play Books sadly does not work over here as well :(. Any advice?
You can get your Kindle books over MoonReader, you just have to locate the files on your hard drive, then convert them from Kindle format to something MoonReader will read (I've used either mobi or epub), then Moon Reader will open them just fine (pdf's also) I use Calibre to convert the files for me (it free).
