I picked up one of these from Tesco and from what i can see is identical to the one above. Sticks to my textured dash easily with that mount.

I love my Clingo air vent mount - So much so I have one in the wife's car too!

Best thing is that it'll fit almost anything on it so it doesn't matter what phone you upgrade to over the years you won't have to change your holder...

i use a spiderpodium, i actually have 2, one for in my car, and one for my desk. i use a leather flip case on my phone so the clip in and universal holders do not work, but this thing holds it great.
i have mine set like a deck chair on my desk and in the car i have the middle 4 legs in the vent and the top and bottom 4 legs holding the phone across the earpiece and hooked below the buttons. works great, leaves the charging port free too and doesnt cover any of the buttons or screen.

hey guys what do you think is better a vent mount or a sticky one for the windshield?

i bought from eBay an air vent mount, didn't received it yet, anybody here got the chance to use it? is it any good?


plus, do you think mounting it on the vent and turning AC cooling on will damage the device? i think the opposite because it will cool the battery instead of baking in the sun with a windshield mount.

Possible to add a POLL option for this thread as well?

I Have bought this for 8€ and added a headphone jack which one is connected with car stereo (u can see it in the picture)

I think it was a very good deal, it holds my device perfectly, charges my devices, sound plays threw car stereo and also mic is working, so i can call with it as well

Yeah, me too, i found mine on Amazon at half price of HTC store about 1 year ago, it's really good, but u can't use a cover or you must remove it every time that u must plug the phone into the car kit.

i use this phone holder which put in the cup holder in the car. very happy with it, it puts the phone at the right high and the right angle for me to see and reach to it: Arkon Cup Holder Mount and Mega Grip Smartphone Holder. can find it at walmart

I wouldn't advise getting clingo now as my second pair have got too sticky and are now useless!

I purchased a windscreen suction mount from ebay (item number 120781239578 to be exact). And i'm very pleased.

Had no problems with it... however it does jiggle the phone about quite a lot at certain speeds. But this could be caused by my choice of vehicle (Classic mini - harsh ride.)

This is a little bit OT, but i've built my own holder

Currently i'm updating it:
now it is possible to mount the phone in landscape or in protrait mode. The next step is to build a construction, that allows me to spin the phone while it's in the holder (at this time, i have to unmount my phone, spin it in landscape mode and mount it again).

Why to use holders which are made for other phones and at the same time they are so huge?
At ebay there are so many cheap models which fit perfectly to our phones.
