Stock rom is DOPE. Love how many options for custom ROMs we've got, but damn is oxygen os good. I'm a big fan of simpleGX kernel and Magisk with stock ROM. Multi day battery life, performance is amazing, fingerprint is fast, camera is great, no bugs, no random reboots, etc. Love it!

Is the Pure Fusion ROM's fingerprint speed almost fast as Stock ROM? I really liked the instantaneous response of the fingerprint scanner.

Is VoWiFi working in the most recent builds of PureFusion? I searched the thread and some posts about 20 pages back from current mention it's not, but there have been updates since then (and no notice of any changes around voice over wifi). I'm fed up with the bluetooth issues in OOS - LOS and AOSP ROMs don't seem to have any problems - but must have working vowifi due to poor signal strength in my home office.

I am using H2OS as a daily driver and I am happy with. No errors, lags, reboots etc. You can record yours calls etc. Original luncher is ok but you can use other ones without lags etc. Chinese apps can be very easily removed. So if you do not need other languages except English you can try it out.

I've tried two different builds of Pure Fusion and couldn't get either to work well with my phone carrier MintSim. It's the only ROM I've ever tried that I couldn't get a decent phone signal on.

It doesn't seem to bother anybody but the PureFusion network settings selections are identical to the ones used on Nexus/Pixel phones and don't correspond at all with the ones that the manufacturer of the OP5 uses.

Best thing to do honestly is flash and find out for yourself. You will always get a better answer by experiencing the ROMs for yourself as opposed to someone else telling you how they liked it

I thought stock OOS with Blu Spark kernel performed much better than xXx No Limits. That one is an OOS based ROM. Those don't tend to add much in the way of features compared with stock that the phone already runs. xXx No Limits supposedly improves the performance of the phone and Freedom ROM is a debloated version of stock OOS. I wasn't impressed with either of them. Pure Fusion (which doesn't work for me unfortunately) or Paranoid Android aren't OOS based and completely change the experience of using the OP5. Those ROMs also add a lot of features you don't get with OOS based ROMs. You might want to play with stock OOS and a custom kernel before flashing a custom ROM so you at least have something to compare the custom ROM to.

Thank you! I told myself yesterday to stick with stock a bit before diving into ROMs. =)

I wanted to stick with stock but my issues with the stock ROM not working with banking apps is really pissing me off. Banking apps were one thing leaning me towards the oneplus 5 because I figured not rooting would be better for banking apps working. Even though my old Rooted s6 worked fine with banking apps and Android pay with magisk root.

What's the issue? I'm stock with unlocked bootloader and rooted with magisk. Once I shut off usb debugging Bank of America worked and Android pay works for me.

I just checked and usb debugging was enabled and I disabled that and rebooted. Then I was able to get one of my bank apps working but not the other one. My phone has never been rooted or had the bootloader unlocked yet so I'm not sure what the issue is. The app that's not working has always worked on every phone I've had before even when they were rooted.
