As far as I try. Havoc Os is the nicest of all. Still, it is In Android 11. Battery backup is decent enough... Lots of customization features. The only problem is the built-in camera is not working.

Almost all of the custom ROM available for Mi A2 lite is very stable and bugless. (...)
But yet, users like me continue fighting to just make one of these to be installed and works but with no luck.
This because there is no completed guide for this but I'm trying to gather fragmented instructions here and there as the threads are not updated, incomplete or discontinued. (If some day in the future I will make it, I will post a very detailed guide about miA2Lite)

Is it requirement to be a developer if you want to install a working "not stock"(get rid gougle as much as possible) OS ?

Hi, I m also looking for a new daily driver - getting tired of lagging Stock. I m appreciating every help choosing the best option.

Judging from research my favourite candidates are Linage 18.1 and crDroid 8.2 , probably with a minimal Version of GApps.

My priorities are (in that order):

- Stability
- Battery life
- Support/Updates
- Vo-LTE
- Vo-Wifi
- Safetynet check
- Dual-SIM

Thanks for sharing your experiences! :)

Interesting you posted, I am literally in the same boat today, sick of slow stock and want to try and eak a little more life out of the phone before upgrade if I can!

It's been a while since I've played with custom roms but I will be following the guide linked above (thanks!).

What made you choose the above 2 options? I used to really like Lineage buit I see it's still Andoird 11 (obviously always just 'feels best' to go for the lastest available option!)

Howdy! Yeaah stock has gotten a pain since A10, unfortunately. I had hopes for Android One, but turned out to be mostly a marketing thing.

Im a noob. Hadn't flashed any droid ROMs in 5+ years.

Just recently put LinageOS on a tablet which had been literally unusable due to ancient and badly customized firmware. And its working great now!

LinageOS is also the only ROM where i got some relevant and positive references (from friends on other devices). If Linage was official for MiA2lite I would probably just go for that, without second thoughts.

crDroid is a new name for me, but its also based on Linage, has "official" status, A12, and promising feedback so far - still very fresh tho (8.2) .

I also briefly considered Havoc and Arrow but so far didn't find clear reasons to chose those over Linage.

(Overall a subjective selection after reading a bit of feedback and Wikis)

So my plan is, to gather some more Information and make the switch in 1 or 2 weeks. I would also just stick to the general guide, taking into consideration everything that's posted for the specific rom.

Thanks! I'm hitting GO right now. Will let you know how I get one. Will try crDroid for now I think

I have tried almost all ROMs in my Mi A2 lite 3/32 phone...

So far Havoc os is my Favourite.

With that, maybe Drepfest has the most smooth UI and is also good in battery backup. Personally, I use the Gapp version of the rom. Crdroid and Lineage OS is also first-class rom.. and maybe crDroid has the most customization feature..

Everyone has a try on Havoc os, though it is still android 11. I will prefer any rom with android 12 as it is the latest.. Most of the rom have unlimited photos storage. only point is smoothness , battery backup, and customization.

Maybe some of the customizations features were never used twice. and few days after tweak something battery back up and performance are the main concern

How do you like it so far? @drummerian
It's OK....

It's a great ROM, and really nice to be on up-to-date Android!

However, I do notice from time to time my phone just really slows down, like almost unusable. I'm wondering whether I just need to get something a little more up to date at this point, this has lasted >3 years now which for a £120ish phone in incredible value really!

How did you get on?
