Do you think A13 will solve the majority of 11/12 issues?
I mean they have to ...
A11 imo was like a middle version between A10 and 12, it didn't get that much care and most devs already dropped 11 for 12 (if not13)
A12 was rushed and not very clean ...
Wow, that is some news. I gather this will be A10/RROS based, right?
Yes, RRos A10
Please tell me what kind of support you're seeking
basically donations, i don't have that much time to make progress, so if i have enough support that will help the devlopment for sure ...
nice setup, mine is a lot simpler... 😎

you still use 3 button navigation 😆

What was your experience like with MIUI?
-------------->"Latest doesn't always mean better"<--------------
idk why this sentence is so hard to understand tbh ...
I don't think latest always mean better. A more recent build may be less battery friendly but it also may have less bugs, which I would care about more. I'd be happy to hear about your experiences if you've tried all three versions of ArrowOS.
i'm not really hype about it, LOS 18 is based on A11 and A11 has it's own bullsh*t ...
Other then being more resource hungry, what problems have you experienced with A11 on ginkgo?

My hands aren't much good for anything else
let's say you want to go back
-on 3 buttons you have to move your finger to the exact button and press it
-on full screen gesture you can go back from anywhere on the screen with a swipe from any edge
"About phone" says its v8.7.0 by maintainer DqrKn3Zz
Strange, only "Whyred" and an old build of "MARKos" have that SLIM RECENT that cover the statusbar
What was your experience like with MIUI?
if you don't like your device and want to torture it use miui
A more recent build may have less bugs

I'd be happy to hear about your experiences if you've tried all three versions of ArrowOS.
Arrow 10 : good but have call log/sync contact bug + legacy app scaling + no customization
Arrow 11 : worst than Arrow 10 + frame drops + app scaling + no customization
Arrow 12 : worst than Arrow 11
what problems have you experienced with A11 on ginkgo?
-Ext SDcard not work properly (on some builds it's not even detected) (selinux crap)
-Frame drops when playing HD videos/playing games
-Media provider generate huge cache if you have lot of files on internal storage
-Long boot time
-Use more RAM
-Some apps don't use/detect dark mode
-There is no kernel that use 300MHz for low tasks (CPU Always 800 or even more)
-app scaling
-Xposed framework not stable (gravitybox/Xposed edge ...)
-Call records sometimes muted or absent
-When you disable mobile data --> no option to hide the "X" on statusbar
-Poor customization overall ...
...
to the point i don't want to test any A11 anymore

People say this kind of things about MIUI-and mostly not giving any detail- but I, as a noob, haven't notice any bugs. I just don't like the RAM and power management of it. I would like to know what problems/bugs have you noticed exactly.

I definitely wouldn't notice most of them, or even I did, I'd probably be more prone to think that they're because of something I did or because of hardware. Very valuable information you're sharing, thanks a lot.

Built in ADS ?
Bloatwares ?
you didn't see that ?
Apps like "security" who is sending your data to china 24/7 (can't be removed/stopped/freezed) that split yor internet speed with you
Updates that does nothing but nerf performance and camera quality
...
...
S**tUI is a hell on any device, not only ginkgo ...

Tried it, no good. Xiaomi devices (I have 3 different ones, luckily all rooted/custom) are the worst in terms of tapping insanity. Never had such problems with Samsungs, LGs or ZTEs.

Oh, that, that was a Magisk module -- if memory serves...

I see. I for one, totally take your word for it, being that I absolutely hate to be a guinea pig for UI development.

For the interested, I tried latest RR markos build. There was a small problem with host files that can be easily solved, other than that it was a good ROM, smooth, no annoying bugs. But the amount of customization options annoyed me, I wanted to use a more 'clean' ROM.
So then I tried latest LineageOS 17.1 build. There was a slow charging problem, other than that it was a very nice ROM but the slow charging made the ROM unusable for me.
I then tried stock A10 MIUI 12. It was okey. No bugs or anything but the MIUI way of ram and battery management is annoying.
Now I'm on A11 MIUI 12.5. It is worse than A10. Not smooth. I'll propably try ArrowOS and and LineageOS 18.1 builds next.

i'm using this (i'm a battery maniac, i even compared different builds in the same kernels 😂)
if you want to use their last A10 build it's here (use more than 300MHz for low tasks)
Hello! Do you have some screenshot of idle drain and active drain with this kernel?

I'm using RROS by marks and I'm trying to tweak it to have better battery backup

Honestly I've tried many roms A10 A11 A12 but I always come back to RR A10

Also, would you mind sharing which app you disabled / how you tweak RR to have a better battery backup? :)

you mean this :

it's also good but if you use any kernel (other than mark) with that rom, call records will be muted

obviously 😆

i was going to make a guide on it but decided to make a rom instead so it will be less work for people.

Please post feedback about Arrow and LineageOS later.
I've tried LineageOS 18.1 with MindtheGApps, it was fluent, better than Arrow A11-which is a fine ROM- in my experience, no lags, no battery drain, safetynet passes with flashing a zip file shared in telegram channel. My only problem was it was charging slower than MIUI with the same adapter, but not unusable unlike LOS 17.

Arrow A11(GApps build) was not very smooth in my experience, but Arrow A12(GApps build) was good. It was the best custom ROM I tried, smooth, safetynet passes without flashing or tweaking anything, no battery drain, no random bugs. But I haven't used it more than a couple hours so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I've also tried Resurrection Remix latest Zhan build, touchscreen wasn't working when I flashed the latest A10 SixTeen Kernel, but with stock kernel it was fine. Safetynet passed default like ArrowOS. It was again a nice ROM but I didn't like the interface also it didn't felt as snappy as Arrow A12 so I haven't spend much time on it.

I've tried MIUI 11 A9 Global ROM too. It was snappier than MIUI 12 and I liked the UI more but battery usage was worse than both A10 and A11 MIUI ROMs.

Mind you, I'm not trying to test ROMs, just tried to find the one I like as a casual user and I was unsuccessful at the last, there is not a single ROM that I find perfect and enjoy using it.
