Just put on the white stone glass protector on my s9 with Neo Hybrid case. It is a thing of crystal clear beauty and was a painless, but a little messy, install.

I picked up the Incipio Dual Pro case, I have used them in the past. Its a great case, no slip feel and good protection without bulk.
They have a good choice of colors, i got the dark red/black
My local verizon store had it for $29.99

I'm looking for a thin clear case, that's either hard to slide off or very easily removable. I want to use the magnetic coil on the wireless charging to stick to my magnet mount. It works fine without case, but not strong enough to grip with a case on. I'm using a Spigen ultra hybrid, and maybe it's too thick?

I am personally faithful to Poetic cases. I used one for HTC One M7, Nexus 6p and now for the S9. For HTC I had the Atmosphere line, for 6P and S9 the Affinity. It is a transparent hard case with rubberized elements.

The fit is super snug, so don't get it if you are planning to take the phone in and out often. However snug fit is a big plus protection-wise, so I am really happy with this.

Is there a good flipcase, that's slim, doesn't extend too much and has a good inner casing for the phone? I also want to have no flap to secure but magnets instead. Also I want the bookshelf ability to watch something horizontally

I have found these, which one would you prefer?

I have the Spigen Tough Armor and yesterday I dropped my S9 from waist height to the commercial carpet in the office. landed on the side then bounced on the front. not any damage at all. Screen protected slid down and popped off, but that is the screen protector.

i just got the Spigen Air Skin (link) and it is awesome!! It does not even look like there is a case on the phone. My only complaint is that the buttons are a little tougher to feel since the case is about as thick as the buttons are tall. But after a couple days with it, i am totally used to it.

now...i doubt this case has much in the way of drop protection...but it definitely covers everything but the front glass...which is what i wanted. now i don't have to be so gentle when setting my phone down. I also like the idea of keeping the black metal from getting scratched up.

I've been using some cases from Ringke (on an S9+, but they offer the same cases for the S9) and am really pleased with them. Well made, perfect fit, excellent button action, and very reasonably priced. Not for you if you're looking for a really heavy duty case, but otherwise really nice cases. It's a little bit expensive but I got the official samsung rugged case. It actually feels a lot better than it looks because the back is some soft touch plastic, probably like those self healing plastic feel which i think this case is. The case adds a bit of weight but that's okay because a least it won't slip out of my hand due to the soft plastic. Bonus, it includes a kick stand. Subjective but I think it looks pretty good.
Bad thing is that the headphone jack cut out is about 3 mm deep so I can't use some of my favourite headphones.

Maybe you should take a look at PITAKA MagCase for S9, it has metal plates embedded, wireless charging enabled, and it's also compatible with magnetic phone mount -- MagMount (Qi) Pro, and pretty thin (0.85mm)
