Best GCam (Google camera app) for the xz2c

"my wife complains a lot about the stock sony cam, grainy, red skins in low light"
Exactly what's going on with my device.
Someone could help please?
Is that a rare problem? Is there any fix for this?

I was reading your post and almost doubted if it was me that posted it, my wife has exactly the same issue, seems a bit better with pie update, but can be a placebo, not sure
everytime i see a picture made with that phone i'm even more happy with my pixel 2xl

Any updates? Any medium to low light shots with the xz2c are noisy as hell. Comparing with the Pixel 3 side by side right now. Even without night mode, the same shots are quite smooth and detailed on the Pixel. With night mode they get even better.

maybe its night the right place since I am using xz1, but instead of the Sony's stock camera I use ProCapture for the night shots and its noise reduction process works quite well. maybe give it a try

Yup it's in the same directory when you can try deleting camera.qcom.so see if camera starts up if it does then it's not using copied lib on the last lib it should have changed from full/limited to level 3

It seems to be used, because camera does not start if i delete it.

HDR+ and newer GCam requires RAW support. If you don't have raw support Gcam will crash. I wonder if a custom rom will fix it because obviously sony won't.
