best gcam mod for redmi note 8

This thread is to discuss best gcam mod for redmi note 8.

The Google Camera was a must-have for redmi note 7. With it, the phone’s dual camera worked surprisingly well in low light.

So how are we?

Will there be a gcam app port to the redmi note 8? And will the effect be es big, as before?

Yep, the one gcam port linked above seems to work fully, Night Sight works which is the main reason to install it

You can use device info app (showing phone name) and camera 2 api app in split screen and take photo with different mobile.

All Android phones that release with 9 have to support and have camera2api enabled by default.

Great. Both Mi A3 and Redmi note 8 has same snapdragon 665. But Note 8 has samsung sensor, while mi a3 has sony sensor.
Which one produces better results with gcam ?

But A3 have poor display resolution.. 720p..
Photo will have good quality but it will not look good on 720p display..

Does anybody know if the is ultra wide angle support in the gcam is working?

Because somtimes rooting is necessery to change camera lenses in gcam (e.g. oneplus one 7 Pro and Xiaomi Mi A3); and somtimes not...

I've tried a few hardware info apps like AIDA64, Device Info HW and Droid Info but none of them show me the names of the camera sensors. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the info?

I don't think so. I have Mi A3 and Redmi Note 7. The gcam is much better with RN7, maybe the sensor camera have much compatibility. The Mi A3 is better with front camera but with rear camera its worse...
