Just took these sweet astro photos the other day with my RN8. I enabled astrophotography mode then went into night sight put a 10 sec timer and then quickly placed my phone on a stand while the phone was facing the sky. Each photo took about 1-2 minutes to fully capture. I'm surprised what this phone can accomplish. Take a look below. ;)

Night sky. -Shot on RN8 with Gcam https://imgur.com/gallery/6Tn6CPM

(ps imgur caps the image quality unless viewed in their app so that's why it looks disgusting)

i don´t know if this is the right place to put my question
I´m on a delema right now.
My purpose it´s to chose the best camera in low light scenario to take pictures of drinks and objects in places with low light environment and candle light.
Last weekend I try the redmi note 7 pro, redmi note 8 and the redmi note 8 pro all with stock camera.
The redmi note 7 pro take best pictures of all, by far win the note8/8pro.
I have seen some test in internet of Gcam vs stock cam on note 8/8pro and i don´t realy see a big improvement in low light environment pictures that can beat the big diference i see in pictures from note 7 pro vs note8/8pro.
correct me if i´m wrong. I have to choose 1 between the 3.
I apreciate the help

Note 8 is newer, so more software support. Note 8 Pro is mediatek which doesn't have a particularly good google camera port (correct me if I'm wrong). Google camera makes the photos really good anyways. Try out Night Sight, you won't be disappointed.

Well, another issue with mediatek (or exynos) devices. GCam was built for Pixels with snapdragon chipset, so don't expect functionality to be good.

There's actually a google cam in the RN8 Pro subforums, you tried that yet?

Yes, I just use it. She shoots better than a stock camera:)
