I have downloaded the Amazon Appstore apk through the web browser on my Aria over 3G and it worked fine. I just now tried it again and it still works. AT&T might block certain types of traffic, but they don't do anything to prevent you from downloading the Amazon Appstore apk. (They do however prevent you from installing the apk once it's on your phone because they removed the ability to install applications from "unknown sources", but this restriction is removed in all of the custom ROMs on this site.)

That said, I have had problems downloading files through the web browser before -- it's quite random though. I believe this is actually a Google bug, not an AT&T bug, but I'm not sure.

Fair enough. Thanks for the info. :)

Now that you mention it, this was one of the few times I've ever downloaded an apk through the browser so perhaps you are right.

On another note, this is by far the best keyboard I have ever used. It combines the best of everything. For those of you who have yet to try it, it's like swipe + T9 word + a much more accurate keyboard. I'm still learning the new features but I'm really impressed so far. And there is zero learning time.

Again, I want to thank you drumist for showing me this app!

Swiftkey X is definitely the way to go. I was a Swype lover for a long time, but the actual keyboard just seems kinda big and bulky in comparison.
