What about Transcend? A good or bad manufractor ?! =)

I'll buy a Transcend 32GB Hi-Speed SDHC card class 6 if Transcend is okay.
If you bought a 32GB Transcend SD Card you would have a hell of a problem fitting it in the memory slot on the phone. :D

IMO Transcend is second only to SanDisk
For example - I bought 4 SanDisk cards (each is 16GB) of class 2 and tested it yesterday: common write speed is 5 MBytes per second. If you'll buy Transcend class 2 - it would be great if it's 3MBytes/sec.

SanDisk offers more reserve and costs more. Transcend gives less reserve but anyway it delivers what it promises.
BTW - what for do you want a class 6 =) ?

porn! just kidding. Ehm yeah well... I'm looking forward to do a lot of video recording (PORN!!!! just kidding again :D) so I want to be sure to have a fast card. Desire users wrote in a couple of forums about more fps if there is a faster sd card.

You don't think a class 6 card will be necessary?

/e: And thanks for feedback!

but the sample video's do have nearly 1mb/s rate ...

a 60 seconds sample video does have 60mb

so i would say that a class 2 card will be enought?!

Different manufacturers make different reserves for write speed as I've said before. But they all guarantee minimum write speed noted by the class. So you can pick SanDisk 4 or Transcend/Kingston 6. IMO it'd be enough.
p.s. I really hope my SanDisk 16G/c2 will be enough - but I cannot say for sure until I possess DHD at last =)

I'm new to android, but I'm sure the OS is located on the system-memory, not on the expandable one.

Presumably the Storm catalogues the contents of the SD card or initialises some applications during boot?

I've also ordered a 8GB Transcend MicroSD HC Class 6 - it might be excessive speed but it wasn't expensive. Depending on whether I end up using the video camera I may have to get a 16GB card as well/instead, or just use the Class 2 8GB card from my Blackstone as a spare (assuming the recording-to-RAM thing overcomes the speed limitation).

Transcend cards have been good for me and I use a class 6 card. Speed is very noticeable when transferring files to and from PC. The Samsung card class2 that came with DHD failed. I am not sure if I am entitled to a replacement.

8gb is definitely enough space for me, but if you have a big mp3 collection then maybe you need more.

I have a SanDisk 16GB Class 2 card, and it seemed to record video fine when I made a little test.
