Best music player app or volume boost

Can anyone recommend a good music player app.
I'm currently using power amp but when it's played through my car stereo (using aux cable through headphone socket) the volume is really low.
Failing that are there any volume boosting apps or anything I can do without rooting

I personally use the Play Music app from the Play Store (nearly wrote App Store there, only just switched from iOS, haha )

I have also flashed the Walkman app which is very nice indeed.

Stweaks only works with siyah kernel, therefore he will need root.

Go on power amp, and turn up the pre-amp level in the EQ section.
