+1 towards zplayer. I haven't found an interface I like using more on a music player and I enjoy the immersive experience the interface allows. I also listen to a lot of podcasts and it works for all of those perfectly.

Its the one above equalizer

Yes I tried this before but still it won't show nothing. A similar music app called "noozy" also never shows background images. They used to but suddenly stopped. I don't understand why.

Gonemad... Just switched from player pro and mind you I was a long time player pro user

Agree.

I tried PlayerPro but wanted some features like ReplayGain that they didnt support. Switched to PowerAmp...but I think the layout and UI suck on PowerAmp. Hate all their shuffle options, hate the fact that the lockscreen has skip forward buttons but also skip playlist buttions that I always hit by accident (and which for me are a worthless feature), etc.

I think GMMP has so many helpful settings and provides a much nicer user experience.

FlipBeats| Best Way to Listen to Music on Android

FlipBeats is the best ever music player that I've tried couple of weeks ago and it works perfectly on my device. It has the most advanced "Audio Configuration" available on an Android Music app through a Unique, Intuitive & Customizable Flip UI.

Experience your music, don't just listen to it
Get FlipBeats to your Android Phone & Tablet: :)

I have tons of music on my sd card. FlipBeats just can't find it. Unable to reach app settings. Menu key does nothing, Gestures do nothing. Pressing every 'clickable' icon does nothing except launching useless media search. Dummy interface in a do-nothing app.

If this is what you call "experience music" I prefer just to listen, definitely.

Gone mad music player

Sent from THE motog

This. Has all the features of Poweramp and PlayerPro (Poweramp seriously needs smart playlist support) as well as nifty features like safe headset volume when plugging in a headset and restoring volume to 100% when unplugging. Doesn't cut album art like playerpro either

HTC Music Player

I tried and bought a lot of music players for Android, but right now I'm stuck with the Music Player from HTC and using the h/k mod on my HTC One M8.

I tried:
Rocket Player (like a lot)
n7 Player (very nice interface)
Apollo (for me quite close to the stock HTC One)
PowerAMP
...

I am looking for a player which has advanged options on the ID3 tags and sort options. Does anyone know a player with sort options in a structure?
I would like to sort album or albumartist afterwards albumsort (as for the soundtracks of Fast and Furious), so that the 7 LPs can stick to the official name as album but are in the correct order based on the albumsort...

Try GoneMad, it has sort options, great audio quality and tons of features + nice and clean interface.

Thanks, testing it right now (with the GoneMAD 14 days of free trial). Actually good sort options, but my needs go a little deeper into the IDv3 details... Such a pitty that somehow only iTunes uses these kinds of tags so far :(

Hey guys... I was just wondering what is your best music player for android?

In my own opinion, PowerAmp is great but its more music freaks. I really do not need an equalizer and all the fancy features that PowerAmp has. However, I do like PowerAmp a lot because it was able to play almost every kind of music file I threw its way.

Another great music player in my opinion is PlayerPro. It is easy to use and it is interface is nice. It does not have any of the fancy feature of PowerAmp such as the equalizer and that is a plus in my book. However, it is able to play almost any type of music file and that is awesome.

I like the Google Music player too. It does what I need it to do for the most part but I don't like the fact that it supports a limited amount of formats.

I found this site as a cool site for more about the best android apps:

PlayerPro, PowerAmp and Uber Music. Uber Music is a music player whose dev is same as that of LauncherPro. So, now you can guess how smooth and user friendly it could be. ;)
