Hi everybody!
I'm asking for help because I just got this beautiful Sensation, would like install a custom rom but can't properly choose the right one AND need a noob-friendly guide for unlocking, rooting and S-Off-ing my device.

I was using a Cyanogenmod on my old phone (Galaxy S), and i was very happy about that rom.

Now I'm stuck on this horrible sense, with hundred of pre-installed undeletable apps...don't like it at all.

So my request are:

1) can you link me a good noob-proof guide for unlocking, rooting and S-Off-ing?
<HBOOT IS 1.27 AND SOFTWARE IS 3.33>

2) Can you suggest me a NON SENSE-BASED ROM i can further install on my device? My priorities are:

-High stability for a daily usage

-Good battery performance

That's it!

THANKS IN ADVICE FOR HELP, SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH!

LUCA

Here..

So heres a guide made by another Sensation user for hboot with firmware 3.33: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870233

I followed it and here are some tips:

-Dont use virtualbox or any vm for the Juopunutbear S-OFF
-Make NANDROIDS before flashing a new rom so you can switch back to stock
-The process is simple apart from the S-OFF

For a non-sense rom you best go for the stable albinoman887 rom with 4.2.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115520

Hope I helped and thank me if u want.

There is no right or wrong rom to use. Every rom has its features, advantages and disadvantages.
If you like aosp(non-sense) then albinoman887 's Android 4.3.1 rom is recommended
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402665
or android1234567's 4.3.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320657

They are quite the same but android1-7 has a bit more kernel features whereas albinoman is pure AOSP/CM.

But there are also Sense-Roms which have tweaks for performance, so they run quite fast and stable, too. They all have the aroma-installer where you can choose which apps should be "pre"installed so no bloatware.
A few examples:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849 Android 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429953 Android 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6 / Android 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671547 Android 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2216858 Android 4.1.1 with Sense 4+

All mentioned roms have a good battery life, tested by myself.
But read in the threads for more information and bugs.

For a flashing/rooting guide take the one from jon126 or this

Okay everything is said above here!

Tip
-the stock Sensation kinda sucks after a while so buy a ANKER 1900MAH ( lots of the sensation users use it including me)
- the speaker is kinda weak so maybe try a equalizer like Viper4Android(note: It drains battery when enabled)

Thank you all guys, thank to john126, XxM4tzexX and erald67!

I will unlock then, when I'll get some spare time, and choose a rom...

Thank again!
