i had the orzly for the 5T and just bought for the 6. Overall, great screen protector. Just like the official one, but cheaper. I'll try it when I get it and report. There was a tiny bit of a vertical air bubble on my 5T due to the alignment and the human error.

Good luck. It also covers the edges of the screen slightly. Not worth it IMO.
Went on without a hitch. even took off and reapplied as my alignment was just a hair off. Don't notice the border covering that mm of the screen really. especially with a dark substratum theme.

I tried the official glass protector and just gave up in the end as I couldn't remove all of the air bubbles. I've just applied this for £3.99 from Amazon and it went on first time without bubbles ?

Seriously the air bubbles weren't that stubborn. Most of the little ones in the center of the screen you just needed a little finger pressure for them to disappear. Perfect install, both the first time and 2nd time after I took it off to realign.

Extremely happy I bought this. (2 in fact)

Yes. I've applied it and without any bubbles. It's of really good quality!
Is it anything like this?

Some kind of universal screen protector. Applied as a liquid, then dries to be pretty hard.

IMHO, screen protectors are hit-or-miss in how easy and clean they go on. I look for ones that have a good hardness rating, and are fingerprint-o-phobic. This one didn't get very good reviews, there are others out on Amazon with better ratings. IQ Shield had always worked for me, but all my phones so far have had flat screens.

IDK about these for the oneplus 6. Had on my N5x. Loved and at this price I'll try again...92% off entire site. 92off2 is code.

I bought 2 for less than $6.00 shipped. I still have one left over for the Nexus 5X , never needed to use it.

Sent from my Oneplus 6 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I have been using their screen protectors on all my household phones for the last 4 years w/o any issues. They are the same grade film as more expensive branded ones. Only difference is these protectors don't come in a fancy package and no soapy solution for applying the protector which is no big deal for most of us. I just applied one for op6 and it went on smoothly without any issues.

As well, do you use the glass or film?

I just bought 2 at like 3AM this morning, couldn't sleep.
I only have experience with the glass. I had 3 N5xs in my home and all spartan glass was bought when the 5x came out. My wife and daughters broke a few times (back pockets and carelessness) but saved the screens. Mine never broke. Had to remove for the BLOD upon return.
I use the "book" method for applying protectors, they always line up. no water or anything.

I've had a good experience with the official OnePlus Screen Protector

I guess it depends on how the installation goes. Proper application of the screen protector is more important than just the build quality of the protector, especially when the screen curves at the edges. Even a half mm shift on one side is likely to throw off the whole fit and lead to a bad experience, often translating into expensive disappointment and frustration with the product.

If you look at the packing an finish of the OnePlus TGSP, you'll realize that it wasn't thrown together carelessly, it was crafted with a lot of precision, by the people who probably understand the dimensions of the OP6 better than anyone else. Even I was very skeptical in paying substantially more for the official TGSP from OnePlus but went ahead and ordered it anyway.

Upon receipt of the item, I followed their instruction video exactly, using the case as a guide for application - and ended up with an amazing fit. No bubbles, no mismatch, no edge sticking off and no 3D or halo effect. It's just like the naked screen - had it installed for 10 days now and it's held up beautifully during everyday use. I haven't dropped it or banged it against anything yet, so can't comment on impact resistance (glass isn't built for that anyway, and I can live with that), but no blemishes so far. And I'm using a skin on the back, so at least I'm a 100% scratch proof now (just not shatter-proof).

Of course everyone's mileage may vary depending on the application. I might just as well have ended up with a botched application and vented my disappointment with the same product here. Maybe I was lucky, or careful, or both. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if applied properly, the OEM screen protector from OnePlus is very, very good, and maybe doesn't deserve the bad reputation it's been getting here.

Just wanted to share my experience, and this is not the universal truth, other users may have a different story to tell - if your experience has been different, please do share here.

I'm attaching some post-application pics for reference.

You are absolutely right about the Spartan glass installation using the hinge method. The other kind does require wet application.
