As the title states this is one of the best phones i have ever used from the touch interface to the look and feel of the phone.

However looking at the oneplus 6t i will not be upgrading due to the loss of the 3.5 mm jack. I wonder how many of you feel the same?

Regards
for me i dont care i dont use it
but i wont upgrade
i dont see any improvment
an it has become ticker the new op6T

The Oneplus 6 was expensive but I somehow splurged since I wanted the headphone jack and an OLED screen on an SD845 phone ( I'd get a cheaper Xiaomi Mi 8 if I didn't need the jack ) .
But even though I plan to use the 6 for a long time simply because it's still around the top in performance, I won't buy another device from them. If I want a "jackless" phone, I can get a Mi 8 ( or the next Mi device ) for less money without sacrificing anything.
Oneplus went from a "flagship killer company" to a "what a flagship company should be".
Just because other companies charge hysterical amounts for, HONESTLY, toys which just have basic phone functions for the fun of it doesn't mean you should slowly creep the prices up higher even though the competition is keeping their prices reasonable ( a 100$ and in the future even bigger difference isn't a thing to scuff at ).
If the Mi 8 had a 3.5mm jack, it would be really hard to pick the Oneplus 6 without sentimental decisions especially when you'd take a look at the prices of both. Sure, the Oneplus 6 "has" water/splash resistance but you're doing it wrong if you expose a piece of tech to the risk of water damage in the first place.

In conclusion:
As much as I love the Oneplus 6, I don't think I'll buy another Oneplus phone. I don't judge anyone who will, it's just not my cup of tea.

And i prefer to charge and ear music at same time...sorry...
Feel the same here....this is the most dramatic, dishonest decision after remove external SD Card, and amovable battery...

No Jack no buy. Dont`care about, sensor finger, front sensor, face reader...for me is all **** fashion created to impress public.
Real things like put earphones and conect jack.....doing that even before the old walkman...

No jack, no joy.
And yes...One Plus is no more a flagkiller......that was the first model and still my beloved Oppo Find 7.....

I have a ton of reference headphones that I use and I like to charge and listen, plus who wants to carry a boat load of dongles around. Might as well buy a iPhone. So I guess I'll be giving this a miss until they come to their senses.

I'm in the same boat as the thread OP. This is a fantastic phone, with few shortcomings. The 6T would be nice if it had headphones and wireless charging. Even one of them would be nice. But it won't and it will be more expensive, and therefore not worth it to me.

Same for me. I totally love the OP6, but with the loss of the headphone jack, I don't plan on getting another OnePlus phone
Eventaully all new phones will not have a head phone jack.
I guess the choice with the 6T is vs 6, is bigger batter 3700mah. I hardly ever use the headphone jack so the bigger battery is probably better imo.

The bigger battery compensates for a slightly bigger screen and in In-display fingerprint scanner, because the animation for unlocking the screen will surely eat some battery.

As for me, I really don't like and trust the new fingerprint scanner. I'm pretty sure the whole unlocking experience will be slower. So, the OP 6 is the perfect phone for me for the next few years. At least until in-display fps gains my trust.
I don't mind the lack of 3.5mm jack, I barely use it. An adapter is fine to me.

I honestly don't know why they made a 6t. There's nothing significant enough for people to upgrade. Even if they would have kept the 3.5, there's still nothing worth upgrading for. Bigger battery is the only draw but the current 3300 last quite some time.

I do not understand this rush to switch smartphones. Now that the appliance is stable. The T version is released at the end of the year, soon will come devices with the sd855 chipset, frankly, does not pay.
