After flashing ROM, delete system/priv-app/contacts & dialer. Then flash Magisk and then the Contacts/Dialer from that link. Once your ROM is booted and setup make sure to go to APPs in settings and set Phone as your default dialer. I always go a step further and clear the storage for contacts & phone within those settings and turn on all their permissions.
Oh no! its magisk related? I have never been able to install magisk on my Freedom OS 2.11. Always says 'image is patched'...something like that. But thanks!

Are you trying to flash Magisk manually (after installing Freedom OS)? The Magisk install selected in the FreedomOS AROMA installer, worked fine for me on 2.11.

I'm using FreedomOS 2.11 and haven't had any issue with Magisk. I do not choose to install any root option when flashing the ROM. If you're up for a clean flash, wipe everything, do the system restore swipe too and then flash the ROM, then flash Magisk v13.x (I'm on 13.3) and then flash any Magisk Modules you wish to use. I'm using Dialer / Contacts, Pixel Sound Set & EmojiOne. I also flashed a Font style to get that looking good and went as far as also using K-Klock with a custom setting, Ozone for some extra coloring and Swift Dark for that sweet darkened theme.

Aha now I see where I was went wrong ? I always use supersu for root when flashing rom. Well since now I am using the phone as daily driver I am abit uneasy about a complete wipe and clean rom flash. However, i got some few mods to get the pixel experience (see screenshot). Now about k-klock, i haven't quite figured out how to use it...but I will learn in time ?. Could you provide a screenshot with font i see... 1504754368143.jpg

I've tried several ROMs but prefer OOS 4.1.7 with Boeffla kernel and Magisk for best balance of performance, battery life, stability and features.

I was using blu spark before. It's a good kernel. Decided to stay on Boeffla since it has few extra features and I'm getting great battery life and performance. Currently at 60℅ with almost 4 hrs SOT and 40+ hrs since last charge.

I've been running Resurrection Remix for quite a while now and have to say that it's just awesome. Tons of customization options, super fast and stable. Full OMS support so that you can theme everything with substratum. Running it in combination with EX Kernel and AKT profile and got superb battery backup. Yesterday for example I had 7 hrs SOT with still 23% left. WiFi only, no gaming but everyday usage.

Just give it a try!
Does it supports apt-X and apt-X HD for bluetooth audio and 1080p60 video recording? I can't find any documentation on this. Also, how's the cell network? I've run into issues with it on Paranoid Android 7.0.3 (3G issues, on stock firmware it was just fine)

Using AOSPA for a while. So far no issues here. Although it has far less customisation options than others, but good battery life and camera. One thing, i flashed Opengapps stock, and that hasn't replaced the AOSPA camera app like it does with others.
