Best Verizon phones and those to avoid

I've had a Motorola droid turbo forever but it's time to upgrade. I know a lot has to do with personal preference, but any recommendations on Verizon phones or phones that reviews say are great but XDA forums knows better and should be avoided?? Thanks!

Avoid all Verizon devices, they lock the bootloader on all of their devices and they do not support unlocking them. Many Verizon users in this community regret getting involved with their Verizon devices because a locked bootloader means TWRP and custom ROMs can't be used. Some of the Verizon devices can be rooted, but even then, they still can't use TWRP or custom ROMs.

If you like playing with rooted devices and using custom ROMs, avoid Verizon devices like they are the plague.

If you don't care about root, TWRP and custom ROMs, then that doesn't matter.
