There's a guide in the Dev section (stickied).. a little reading goes a long way!

Basically it's gonna look like this: Stock KK4 w/o BLs with Odin -> Corn kernel with Odin 1.85 (go in recovery to get root) -> Flash custom ROM as per their instructions -> Enjoy!

So yeah, little rundown but you have some reading to do to make sure you understand what you are doing.

Since u r runnin android 2.3.4 then u have gb bootloaders so u r good concerning that.

Simply Odin flash the .tar packaged KK4 Corn Kernel version 7.0A , afterwards reboot into the cwm recovery and install ur rom of choice that u should have copied to ur internal sdcard by now, per said rom's install instructions. (u will have to select to install it twice) Success.
--- Option is there, in the advanced cwm recovery menu, to gain Root access. But the big unrealized fact to a lot of users is that u actually don't need to have Root in order to flash a Developer's Rom. If u follow the method i just laid out. :D:thumbup:---

Enjoy ur Rom of choice !

Recovery is both volumes+power buttons. You release when the screen flashes usually (there are 2 AT&T image that look the same)
no sir, no luck with that, still at at&t

i ddnt understand by ".pit" thing
The .pit file.

When you use Odin 1.85, you need 2 files to flash a kernel: .tar and .pit

Your flash most likely didn't work cause you didn't have the .pit file (hence why I said a little reading goes a long way).

It can either be found in here (little search) or on the samsung website.

EDIT: here it is: http://www.droidevelopers.com/attac...752561-[download]-ops-pit-files-s1je4.pit.rar

If you don't know how to use Odin, there are plenty of videos on youtube. Please take time to really understand what you're doing otherwise you'll end up with a paperweight in your hands.

No, when using Odin 1.85, you put the .tar file in the PDA and the .pit file in the PIT.

Flashing Corn kernel will give you a cwm recovery and you won't need to root, just flash the ROM you want to as per their instructions.

Ohh thanks a lot but unfortunately I don't have a PC at home, so I can only try this in the morning. Btw your link for pit file needs registration.
