Sir, about this bug, MTP works when debugging is toggled to OFF. ADB does not work at all when the device is booted.

Same thing here. MTP only works if USB debugging is toggled off and ADB ain't working.

I'm also having a bug in which my screen gets some sort of white bloom around it. It happens in every screen, fastboot and recovery included. This white blur disappears a few seconds before I turn on my phone. I mean, just a few seconds before the Android screen goes away and my system loads into the lockscreen.
I've attached a picture to this post, since I'm not the best to explain lol.

Thanks for the attention and keep on with the good work, loved your rom!

I think that it is fault of hardware. It is not a rom fault.

P.S. I promised to publish kernel which may fix mtb/adb. So:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Fin8UxrD6PNmFZRjExaGQ2NDQ/view?usp=sharing
i did not test it. But somebody can try it.

Thx for the help!
@edit: Hey guys, i discovered that i didnt unlock bootloader before.. i did that now and i can acess twrp on recovery mode now, after that its juts select to instal and select the .zip AOSP file? i was trying to install direct from the cmd with sideload but when i hit it stop recognize my phone device (when i tip adb devices doesnt show the number anymore)..

Edit³ after researching and learning more about changing rom on zenfone5 i could do it! Sry for the unnecessary post.
But now.. i cant install gapps :/ tried 4 ou 5 different ones, always saying in red: "Error exectuing updater binary in zip..." someone can give me a link for download?

Yeah. Having this issue too and all other members from a FB group who tested the ROM. They said that flashing a different kernel fixed the issue for them. Never tried flashing a different kernel. I'm also having an issue with the lock screen. Sometimes it locks itself up. Not going sleep like when pressing the power button instead for example, when reading a news feed or something, it just goes to the lockscreen. Also happens a lot during a phone call. You can hear the lock/unlock sound.

Here's a photo of mine.

I wish this was available for use with stock kernels (just like the 5.0.2 AOSP)...

Can't use custom kernels because I need to have an unlocked bootloader. Freezing.

Can't settle for AOSP 5.0.2 because I doesn't support dual-SIM and I need both of my SIMs.

No. Flash it via TWRP.

BTW, AOSP 5.1 is my first bootable ROM at all. I still remember how it was. New Year was coming and i am sitting with my Z5 + PC and getting a logcat. xD
I booted it in the few first minutes of 2016 year. :D I got fantastic emotions due to it.
Almost 10 month is passed. I got so many changes in my life.
Well, it was good old times with my Z5.

I'm on Stock Kitkat and was thinking of Flashing this. I get a screen on time of 3 hours with stock KK. Will this ROM give me more? Does Dual SIM work? Also, what other issues are there? I use USB Tethering a lot too.

Battery draining problem

p0u1O0p0g373K8i6.jpg

What is AOSP?
The Android Open Source Project is the original unmodified version of android. It's the base ROM that all other ROM's work on. There are a few changes from CAF (code aurora forums) and cyanogenmod to get this working for non-nexus devices like ours.
Bug list:
  • GPS & FM

What is working:
  • Media (IT IS FIXED) But Youtube can be dead
  • Audio (IT IS FIXED)
  • RIL (baseband) (IT IS FIXED)
  • Touchscreen xD
  • Image decoding
  • MTP
  • Webview
  • Camera
  • Sensors
  • Houdini (stable)
  • Wi-Fi

Rom features:
  • First Lollipop AOSP rom
  • I used proprietary files from WW 3.24.40.87
  • I used device tree by quanganh2627 for building so this way community will get all fixes

How to flash it:

Step 1:
You should download files for flashing:
File with AOSP rom (aosp-a500cg-userdebug-20032016.zip) :
http://xdaforums.com/devdb/project/?id=13245#downloads
ADB v1.0.32: Download from Google Drive
TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery by quanganh2627 (new December build): Download from Google Drive
Step 2:
1) Unpack archive with ADB and put TWRP image there.
2) Copy file with rom and gapps to internal/external memory of your phone.
3) Then you should reboot your phone in the droidboot mode. (turn off you gadget then press Turn off button and volume + button)
Then go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and write this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery new-zen5-reco.img
Then you should reboot your phone in the recovery mode. (turn off you gadget then press Turn off button and volume - button)
Step 3:
Then you phone will reboot in the recovery. In the recovery you should instal package with rom.
Step 4:
After flashing, you should format (not wipe) data and cache in the TWRP.
Then you should reboot to system.

Guys, i just compiled AOSP 5.1.0 build with audio & media fixes but this build is dead.
i can not figure out why because i used same device tree to build AOSP 5.0.2. and it was OK.
After booting it show a black sreen only. I just tried many different kernel to get logcat. It looks that something wrong with drm && selinux or Houdini
So it will take more time than i expect to release new build with audio and media fixes. Sorry, guys.
