Hi,

I have BTTF 2.0 ROM with HD2, and installed with sucess Windows Phone Device Manger 1.10 and last touchexperience in de device. I could do a full backup of the HD2, but for backing up applications I only see in the list TouchExperience. All the others Applications installed in the phone are not showed. How can i backup the others?

Thanks!

I have a Samsung Focus with the stock ROM and I had a similar issue. I ended up using WP Root Tools to give TouchXperience full access to the device and then I was able to see all the apps installed on my phone. From there, I was able to select which ones I wanted to backup.

Newest Version

I donated a while ago and am on their site.

What is the newest version 2.4.0.0 or 1.10.0.0 ? If the 2.4 is the newest version, how do I access it ?

I got confused by this myself at one point 'Version 1.10.0.0' is the version of WPDevice Manager and '2.4.0.0' is the TouchXperience Version. It is the WP Device Manger on your PC that installs TouchXperience on the Phone so if you installed 1.10.0.0 then it will have put version 2.4 TouchXperience on your phone :). Hope this helps to explain it for you

I don't believe the 2.4 "TouchXperience" app is for WP7 at all. Look at the release date. Schaps has been doing his stuff since the WinMo days; several of the apps one his site are explicitly for Windows Mobile.

Thanks, after installing it I noticed that. The WP7 app is 2.4 and the PC version is 1.10.I guess that should be the newest version.

I guess it was not really detailed to say what is what.

I got strange problems with my PC after installing it, so I am going to troubleshoot it to figure out if it's this program or not.

Did you have a previous version of WPDM installed? You must uninstall it before installing the new one. Same for the TouchXperience; if you had an old version you need to uninstall it before using WPDM the first time.

P.S. If you read his release notes he says TouchXperience latest rev is 2.4 and WPDM indicates rev1.10 in the download.

What he said. I wish he would archive some of this older stuff, or do SOMETHING to make the site a little easier to navigate - he just keeps updating old posts, which is confusing.

TouchXperience 2.5 released, now supports full & native access to file system for all unlocked ROMs (including HTC Titan & Radar). Uninstall TouchXperience and connect your phone to WPDM to get the latest version.

Happy to report this also works with Interop-Unlock if you elevate TouchXperience with Heathcliff's WP7 Root Tools! I can now browse and see all files/folders with the file explorer where before you couldn't (but WP7 Root Tools did/does). I love using WPDM and TouchXperience for a connected to PC with your WP7 experience. Yes, there are other ways but this is a nice GUI/program.

WPDM and TouchXpreience are definitely for WP7. I found and used these before ever coming to XDA. Also, the new 2.5 TouchXperience with root privileges from WP7 Root Tools now works perfect as it shows all files/folders (2.4 did not). I was using Root Tools and your Webserver for access and still use them, but the WPDM GUI/Program is neat to use especially for moving files to/from your PC and your phone. It also allows XAP installing, updating, uninstalling (even Settings apps), and overall homebrew app management. It sort of has everything together in one program.

Only issue is sometimes the program does not connect to your phone automatically and manually launch TouchXperience and then it connects.

But, with WPDM/TouchXperience, Registry Editor, Advanced Config, Root Tools, and Webserver I have pretty much everything I need for "hacking tools". :D

Finally got WPDM to update right before I saw this post, but it refuses to connect now.

WPDM window says that the phone is disconnected, but still shows the popup balloon saying it's connected through USB, and TouchXperience says "Not plugged in" under USB Connection.

Connecting through WiFi works fine, but doesn't allow me to make a backup of the application data, so it doesn't help me at all.

Tried with the regfix, but it's still a no go. :(

EDIT: Suddenly worked when I started WPDM after I've started Zune. But it does NOT show all the applications installed (11/~200 apps shown). And I've given it full access in WP Root Tools 0.9 :(

Just installed an app through WPDM, it shows up on the phone, but WPDM does NOT list it in the manage application page... This is REALLY weird :(

Tried to copy files from my phone to my computer, but ALL files is empty. Each and everyone of them... It's supposed to be about 60 MB in the \Application folder, but when copied to my computer all the files are there, but the size: 0 bytes !?

Regards
