Instead of complaining about the software , it doesnt do this it doesnt do that , no Samsung support ,etc , lets see what you can do to support the community? These guys never said thaere would be support for all devices , but , it will give ideas to others , the really smart people in this forum will make it happen , im not one of them , and I would imagine your not either , so instead of bashing the people who are making WP7 so amazing , either add something to the community or shut the **** up!

I wish I can be a tester of this wonderful software guys but frankly i can't do a donation now since life here in the Philippines is not that as easy now.. anyway I would like to say to the developer of this program I am at your full support! Have a great day always and keep releasing good apps!

I played around a bit with a HD2 and LG Optimus 7. For HTC devices this is a killer app with full file system access etc. The best thing is that you can do all the file moving from the PC which is great for adding ringtones and Navigon stuff :)
On LG things are not that great. File system access is restricted currently to Windows and My Documents. At least you can copy all your MP3's directly to My Ringtones, so Ringtone deployers are a thing of the past :)

Great app

I was able to add custom ringtones through this, and also added 3 Word .docx documents to my phone, but I can't access them, don't know how to open them.

Blog post dated january 10 notes that

Windows Phone Device Manager detects when the phone is connected or disconnected, if you don't have a registered developer device it can automatically unlock your phone, so you don't need ChevronWP7 anymore.
does it sitll have this feature?

thanks

When i connect to my mozart 7 the software says "HTC 7 Mozart T8698 is not registred. Your phone must be registred or unlocked in order to use Windows Phone Device Manager."

What is the problem ?!? :(

Hints: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
  • Make sure port 8007 is not blocked by firewall on PC and port 8107 is reachable on device.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, created ports 8007 and 8107 in Windows Firewall in Inbound and Outbound Rules. Disabled Anti Virus, still cannot connect. Is this correct or I had done it wrongly?

Hope you can give some guidance.

I'm downloading .NET Framework 4 (Standalone Installer) to reinstall.

Thanks.

I can't start wp device manager at all. I already reinstalled both the .NET Framework 4.0 and wp developer tools, but when I try to open the device manager nothing happens. :(:( Some tip of what could be wrong here? My pc is running Windows 7 ultimate x86

Quick question on this because i am a bit confused.
Is there a way to use this App without unlocking the phone??
When i try the various options it is saying please register / or unlock your phone, so does this mean that if i donate and register the program i will be able to install .xap apps and ringtones or i need to chevron unlock my HD7 as well??

I am on nodo and although i tried going back to 7008 and using chevron i couldn't get it to install, i tried almost everything except going back to 7004. Well i hope the nodo unlock is resolved quickly because i am this close to throwing the damn thing in the garbage.

Posted this in the other thread but figured I'd post it here also, just in case;

My HD2 (running Twilight ROM) will connect but won't allow me to do most things, like explore my phone & apps. It will try to connect with my phone, then says unable to connect with LEO70. I close that out & it shows it connected on my laptop, but not in touchexperience. It's also being read as LEO70, while all other programs read it as HD7. Not sure if I missed a step, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Forgot to mention, I do have all needed programs & have my phone developer unlocked. Running Vista.

This works great with blackSideSeven v1.4.7008 spoof version. I can even hook up my PC via WiFi and sit in in a different room and Transfer files, ringtones, like the interface. Telss how much attery you have left, signal strength. Thanks Schaps for this awesome tool.

Try backside 7 Rom, much faster and it hooks up nice with Touch Experience
