I'll have to install it again and recreate the rotation issue first. I might have wiped it without backing it up hehe. No SD card in my phone and the storage is almost full due to like, 18gb of music..

I can do it but it might take a day or something.

@shane87 Will other HLTE versions become available once the rom stabilizes a bit? Like HLTE CHN, HLTE KOR and HLTE TMO ?

No ETA just curious here
That all depends on how much time I have. As of right now, I just don't have the time to work on anything other than hlte and my daily driver, which is an LG g3. With that being said, I have looked in to hltekor, and it is identical to hlte except for the networks and settings handled by the init program. So I guess the answer is maybe, but probably not.

With all of that being said, anyone who wants to work on other hlte versions, pm me. The hlte-common tree is already being kept up to date by me, so anyone who knows how to use Linux, repo, and Gerrit shouldn't find it too difficult to pick up the other hlte devices. Or anyone who wants to learn, though it can be difficult and frustrating at first. I will gladly help out anyone who is serious about learning to build aokp!

Thanks for the reply, pity i'm not clever enough to support you in this or i would place myself as candidate. But hopefully there are people with more skills willing to support you in this.

Thanks again for the reply !!

Man, I'm not sure where you are getting this error from. I have searched in all of the AOKP Oreo Java files, and I can't find a single reference to ProtectedAppsActivity! Can you take a screenshot of the Settings page that has the Protected Apps button?

Hello! Just type "Protected" in settings and it will get you there. This feature was working fine in the 7.1 hlte aokp

I have been testing this rom for 4 days for now and here is the list of bugs i found

1-Bluetooth headphones connection drops several times
2- disable buttons only turnoff the backlight not the button itself
3- navigation bar is fainted out tried several settings without luck

Other than that it's rock solid well done Dev for your hard work

Hey guys, I have a question for those who have hltetmo/hltekor/hltechn devices. Is anyone willing to be a beta tester for AOKP Oreo on those devices? If I can get a tester or two for each device, and there is enough demand, I will add those devices to my builds. Anyone interested in testing should send me a message and tell me what model you have.

New Release!

Hey guys, new builds are up. Nothing major with these builds, some minor changes to QS Header image support, and scrollable QS Tiles. The big news with this release is

Wait for it...

Wait some more...

Builds for hltechn/hltekor/hltetmo!!!
I have NOT tested these builds! I don't have access to anything other than hlte, so PLEASE test these builds if you have the device! And let me know what you find!

I'll download and test the CHN version this evening after work. Thanks for posting these variants.

Hi @shane87

Installed the CHN version, clean install, no other installation done but the ROM for now.

Install went without any issues, boot to home no issues, SIM detected immediately, connection to google servers no go but that's due to China blocking Google (For this there is a init.d solution via KA or a module that can be used under Magisk).

Camera indeed still an issue, easily solved through Footej and still an issue for all LA based roms. For the brief time i tested today (Note 3 is still my only device) the rom is fast in boot and usage. I did notice that notifications on the screen are given in white text on a white background which makes the text almost unreadable (small detail i guess).

Sound is a bit on the silent side even with all sound sliders on the maximum, some tuning on this would be appreciated for sure.

Bluetooth i cannot test except to the computer which worked, i do not have other Bluetooth devices at my disposal.

The rom will be reinstalled next weekend, seen it's my main device, for further test with gapps and applications installed. Many thanks for the variants, i hope the TMO and KOR versions are giving equal results as the CHN version. Nice that the rom is rooted in advance also.

If you need some special tests to be done the please drop me a PM and i'll perform the needed tests during the weekend.

Hope this give already a first impression, Thank you again for keeping the Note 3 alive!!
