For me, when I first flashed 2.3.4, it got warmer faster and longer than before but I gradually either got used to it or it's back to normal.

samcripp mentioned its warmer cause gb is better using dual core capabailities... but who knows.

I have noticed that since I have upgraded to the stock 2.3.4 ROM my phones doesn't nearly overheat as much. Though I don't have a statistical data to prove this, however perception is reality.

I am still at 32C idle, 38-40C on load, same as before on battery. CPU temps are the same also. After battery stats wipe twice and calibration twice my battery life is slightly better than before with no battery jumping.

I was running greyblur before, and to me this seems to be much hotter. I am also getting some serious battery drain issues.
Same here...from greyblur too...i have battery only for 5-6 hrs, and the bottom of atrix heats a lot, but battery temp doesn't rise significantly

To the best of my knowledge, ICS will be the first FW to better use dual core capabilities, and that GB is more of a stabilized Froyo.

Also the 2.3.4 experience is still beta, so the final version could still be better... ;)
