beta is working just fine - very much like the new gui

but:

• at least for me it does not integrate the cht 'set wallpaper' options 'cht lockscreen' and 'all tabs' - have been missing an option to set multiple of these in one step - with your resizer this would be perfect...
• taskbar-bug in startmenu is back - or still there? (can't remeber)

just some first quick tests - hope to be flashing on Sunday and will test more...

currently:
Artemis V22B (was a beta version) - OS 23572.5.5.0 - Manila 20153712.0

I had left those items alone since the lock-screen is already full-screen and the "all-tabs" is set along with the home tab as long as that behavior is enabled in BG Tweak. ("Set all tabs" radio button)

Since having transparent bars that match your home tab, with a different "all-tabs" wallpaper, looks a bit strange... I just assumed it made more sense to set the home tab along with the rest of the tabs. That is why that behavior is the default.

If you want to use the preparer (crop/resize) dialog when setting a seperate lock-screen wallpaper, I can easily add interception to that item as well. It will be on the DropBox as v0.7b4 this evening. I will announce the upload on Twitter.

but now assume I want to use the same background on lockscreen as in manila (and startmenu) - since picking the same region will never be perfect currently i browse to \Windows and re-use BGTweakAlt_480x800.png without cropping.
I know I have addressed this somewhere along in CHT-thread - I would actually prefer 'set 480x800 wallpaper' and then check where to use it...

Perhaps you could implement this in your app - like:
- set home only
- set all
- set all + lockscreen

or change these to checkboxes...

As Filename 'BGTweakAlt_480x800.png' seems not to change setting this once for lockscreen does the trick for me - but I guess choosing a different pic for lockscreen and background using BGTweak will not be to easy

I might be misunderstanding you. Are you talking about the Windows lock-screen or the CHT lock-screen?

If it's the Windows lock-screen, then that is set along with the today screen and start menu. They all use the same image as far as I know, and that image is set by BG Tweak. On most ROMs, a soft-reset is required for updates to the image to show on the start menu. It may be the same for the lock-screen, I am not sure.

If you are talking about the CHT lock-screen, "set all + lock-screen" is as simple as removing your lock-screen wallpaper in the CHT wallpaper settings. (tap the "X" at the right side in the "Set lock-screen" item.) The CHT lock-screen will then use the same image that was set for your Home tab in portrait.

I assume the start menu task-bar issue you asked about was the "ghosting" or "double-image" problem that many people have. I still have not really looked into it but I know that it is not present in some Energy ROMs. As of last week, I am using the latest Energy Rhodium ROM, and the start menu looks perfect. I still have not really looked into it but I know that it is not present in some Energy ROMs. As of last week, I am using the latest Energy Rhodium ROM, and the start menu looks perfect. Other times I've tried to set Portrait or Landscape directly through BGTweak...Error.
Other times I've tried to skip installing the the Sense Mod...Error.

So far I feel pretty useless as a tester!

It's a bug I'm sure I don't see anything obvious so we will have to take baby steps. The first thing I'll ask is if you have tried setting wallpapers using the buttons in BG Tweak instead of the Sense menu.

Also, if you have an IM account you frequent, get me your name so we can hopefully talk about your issue in real-time.

EDIT: Can you post a screen-shot of the error? If it's what I think, you might get more information out of it by installing the .NECF error messages CAB that should be floating the forum.

Yes, thats some stupidity in my thumbnail caching system. Open the menu in BG Tweak and tap "Clear thumbnail cache". This will force the thumbnails to be regenerated on the next run of the PhotoPicker, and should solve your problem.

I'll be fixing the bug as soon as possible.

I've ROM from Artemis and he send me the file shell32.exe and aygshell.dll

I've used the instruction from this post to patch the shell32.exe HERE
but now how do I know if the file that I modified is okay and it's havent the time bomb?

I discovered clearing the thumbnail cache fix the other night. I taped menu, saw it, wondered what it was for, tapped it, and all was well.

FWIW: I recall now that the problem started after I imported my Co0kie settings. Since the thumbnails were on the SD, of course, my resets and flashes made no difference.

***What really sells BG Tweak for me is the ability to choose [«sections»] of a given image for a background. ***

REALLY hoping for a Maxsense version soon that I will (yes? yes?) have this feature. The Co0kie "wide portrait" menu/taskbar/background is just nasty when scrolling.

Just upgraded my ROM to Mr X's latest, and he switched his OS version to 21903. Anyway, I had some trouble ripping the files myself, but found a set in your thread here in post 546. They work like a charm, so you might want to add them to your second post.

Just downloaded 7b5. Works nearly perfectly with CHT 1.8.5. Only had one minor hiccup so far. After choosing a portrait picture, there was some weirdness with the thumbnails when choosing landscape (missing images, incomplete thumbnails). It resolved with clearing the thumbnail cache. I haven't been able to reproduce it, so it may just be a fluke.

This wm6.1 build 20764 is giving me trouble

Im have upload the original unmodified aygshell and shell 32.exe from my particular windows build 20764 (its actually 20764.1.4.3) and its a stock official rom for the Touch Diamond 2.03.831.2 WWE which i got from the HTC hongkong site.
Its the latest official wm 6.1 rom
Ive also compared these to whats in the windows folder and they are the same sizes.
This was extracted from the nbh file and i followd procedures to recmode etc to get these files.
Can you please look at this package since i cant make your tools work on it even if the two files are on the internal storage.
It causes my device to hang when i soft reset.

HD2 issues

Hi,
Has anyone with an HD2 had any luck with using the 'true' transparency hack of this app. Earlier in the thread there are a few posts saying it locks on boot when using the shell32.exe and aygshell.dll.

I am using a TMOUS HD2.
Rom: Stock 2.13.531.1 (90963) WWE
OS: 5.2.21892 (21892.5.0.89)
Manila (Sense): 2.5.20121412.2 + CHT 1.8.5 (although same issue on stock Sense and Today screens.

I used ROMExtractor.exe to pull the files and they seemed to copy over fine.
I do not receive any errors with the versions of BG tweak I've used as well as the transparency hack only program but when I restart the phone hangs and I have to hard reset.

Any other HD2 users having any luck?

Ive decided to just cook these into a rom, How to do it?

Im going to use the stock official HTC WWE wm6.1 rom for my touch diamond and then i read in other posts that i need to certpatch the nk.exe, extract the aygshell and shell32 files, modify them to be transparent via hex editing then place them back into the rom.
this is to avoid the hang on splash screen when using these modified aygshell and shell 32 files.
My problem is when i extract the nk.exe, the extracted file has a different size from whats in the rom so im wondering if this is normal?Ive tried searching the forums but i cant seem to find a definite answer.
