I knew going in on this purchase that there were some pitfalls to the software...but naturally I'll end up rooting and customizing as I like.

I'll definitely give Bing a shot...can't knock on it until I try it. But it is stupid that they didn't give the users options. It would have been a totally different story had Bing been default, but changeable and I think this will negatively effect the sales of the phone (which has some of the best hardware on the market [if not the best] - judging by CPU/GPU benchmarks, and the 4" Super AMOLED).

I chose to switch to this device from the Droid X because the X was a little too big for my liking, and the hardware buttons on it completely sucked...I missed the haptic buttons from my N1.

Place the google widget on your screen why don't cha? Its there. I just did it last night when I had the chance to to play with the phone. The google search bar widget is built in. No need to install from market.
