Dear XDA community. I'm writing to ask whether the same happened to you and whether you do know how to fix it.
I have a backpack where there is a dedicated soft space for a computer where I usually put my tablet ( with keyboard cover). It happens relatively often that after I pick it from there in order to use it the device has a black screen. It can still receive notifications, and if I connect it to the power it still vibrates but the screen remains black.

The only way that I found to put it back in working order is to press "power + volume down" until it force restarts. Other things that I found online to correct the problem did not work and they are: spam power button, attach and detach the power cable, detach and reattach the keyboard, remove the magnetic back cover.
This behaviour does not happen always but exclusively when I'm carrying it in my backpack and not when at home.

I have checked the threads about the Tab S8 but due to the fact that the Tab S8 does not have it's own sub-forum it's kinda hard to check for duplicates.

Do you have any ideas on why this happens?

P.S. It used to happen before and was very annoying, somehow it stopped. Yesterday I performed a system update and now it is doing it again. My current software version is:
Build Number: TP1A.220624.014.X700XXU3BWB4 ( One UI 5.1, Android 13, Patch 1 February 2023).

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Update on the topic, I did a factory reset without restoring data and it still keeps doing the same thing. Somehow the screen gets disabled in the backpack while I'm travelling but the tablet is still on and still connects to WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices.

Nope, nothing. Some days it doesn't do that, some days it does every time I put it in my backpack. As you may have read in other posts that I wrote there is also no chance to really have a refund. Best case scenario if you can really prove that something is broken you can have a replacement.
