BLN Support

coming from a GalaxyS i9000, a feature that I miss on my new a320FlL is the BLN support.
is it really missing or just not working on LineageOS 15.1?
any alternative around?

the back light notification produced by the physical keys wr have at the bottom of the screen.
they used to be on when a notification fires up

Does stock even have it? I have never noticed but I Also have never looked for it. Next message I guess I can tell.
