First off let me apologize, if this has been brought up. I am on my xoom and for some reason it won't let me search. Anyway I just seen on other sites and on twitter that HTC evo 3d owners can go into there manage application area in settings and can remove all of the bloatware from sprint. Sprint TV, NASCAR, etc.. why the hell were we not included in this ? I want that option also without having to root! Kudos to sorint for allowing this and shame on you tmo for not! I wish a surprise would be included in the coming s off update that allowed this..

That comes with sponsorship agreements with those said vendors..Where Sprint may have a different contract, T-Mobile may not. T-Mobile gets paid to add these and gets paid more if they can not be removed. This is a sort of "guarantee" that the apps will be there and can raise sponsorship prices thus giving T-Mo more money.

I assure u this was not done "for the hell of it".

So in a nutshell it's all in the licensing agreements the company negotiates with the Carrier, which in this case is T-Mobile USA.

I can't wait for root. I can already tell, there is going to be a huge performance increase once we get this **** off of our Sensations. Some of these pre-loaded pieces of **** don't even run in the background. Some are running in the foreground causing memory leaks. I reset them all and free 200mb of RAM and 20 minutes later, there sucking that 200 right back up. These manufacturers need to stop this because it's hurting user experience. Not making it better.

i have never had the need to root a device being that all i have used are pure google devices. n1, nexus s, and xoom.. my question is if i choose to root, just to remove bloatware (tmotv, navigon, etc) will it prevent me from receiving any future OTA's? truthfully i dont mind sense..

No. you will get them. But they will remove root. That's only if you're root with a stock rom.
