It sounds to me like blocking mode is a software feature. Why not pull the apk for it from a version of the phone that has it working?

I'm going to correct my previous post. Call Control keeps force closing, but after trying several blocking apps, I found "Mr. Number".

It's really impressive! Works perfectly with the Note 2. You can send a call straight to voicemail, have it pick-up/hang-up, or white list (let it ring through to your phone). It can also block texts, and had a great look-up feature to search for numbers you don't know who it is.

highly recommend!

Call Blocker has the ability to set the time to block call with the exception of those that you set it up to allow through do any of these others apps do that succesfully

The blocking mode i got from adrynalyn half way works. It block texts and notifications from apps just fine. That's what I wanted anyway. Like to turn that stuff off when i sleep and only allow calls through in case of emergency. I combined one of the mini themes with the systemui I got from ADR and its good to go. uploadfromtaptalk1355289740164.jpg

EDIT: I should say that it lets the notifications through but kills the associated alert/vibrate ... I wouldn't want it if it stopped em all together. But as previously stated I tried to block all calls and they still came in along with ring/vibrate.

How did you get it? Mind sharing?

found blocking mode via gesture search

I love the app "gesture search" available on the play store. You draw whatever letter/number you're searching and it lists options. Tried it for blocking mode and it popped up!!

I have used it on my Verizon Siii with minimal issues... the main one is inconstancy, sometimes calls were ignored that should have made it... and the touch screen vibrate never comes back on.
I still use it in extreme circumstances only

Quite a few threads of it not working right on the GS3 as well...
