Hey guys,

I searched high and low for an answer to this but have not found one. I bought a newly used 2011 optima lx that comes with bluetooth control. The phone pairs fine and plays music fine; however, i am not able to control (skip tracks) through the car wheel controls. I was wondering if there is a specific app that need to be used or what?

Many thanks,

Hmm, stock rooted 4.12. I think I found out it has to do with my car radio and not the phone. Oh well,

Thanks
Every car manufacture does it just a little different. My Ford has Sync on it and the steering wheel controls work just fine. I doubt it has anything to do with the phone itself. I think it's probably the car manufacturers implementation.

You might check and see if Kia has a firmware update for your stereo.

You must get a UVO adapter I believe. If you call KIA they should have a part# for it. To be honest, it's not worth the hassle... Just move your hands
