About 2 weeks ago bought a Moto X XT1060 listed as "new" from a local ad. Box came sealed in a plastic wrapping but no sticker seal or the sliding cover on the box. All accessories included and new. I hadn't bothered noticing this at first until recently, there's only one small sticker in the side which only has a model number and IMEI number mentioned in it. I've seen the previous box back when I had purchased the all white and that one had complete details on it including the serial number and such. Moreover, In the literatures that came in the box it mentions to contact ATT carrier for support which is strange considering its a Verizon branded phone, even had a Verizon sim card already inserted. Also when I checked the IMEI on IMEI.org it stated that its a Lenovo flip phone lol.
As for the device it looked brand new with the stock screen protector (that has a white tab on the corner) and preloaded with Android 4.2. So far I haven't had any issues with the device but I was interested in purchasing a second for my dad and I hate the idea that I'm getting ripped off with a refurb stated as new.
I was hoping someone can help me with identifying physical dead give aways for a refurbished device.
I've uploaded photos of the box if that helps.
