Boot Animations

Sorry, having some difficulty in this. So I downloaded the Jellybean file, turned on USB debugging and USB storage, and copied and pasted the 3 jellybean files to my sdcard. Now I restarted my phone, went into file explorer, and found the 3 boot animations, now when I go to the boot animation file and try to rename it or even move it to a different location it say's "the file is set to read-only", and when I try to move the 3 files it also say's the same "cannot move because the file is set to read-only". Am I doing things right?

1. 3 Jelly Bean files? You aren't supposed to open the .zip
2. The .zip file is the boot animation, you only need to move the .zip
3. What file explorer are you using?
4. Easiest eay to do this is buy Root Explorer or search for the .apk (not supporting piracy just an option)

If you tell me what file explorer you are using, I can install it and tell you what to do.

Went ahead and bought Root Explorer ($3.99 on GooglePlay). Now when i downloaded them they came as 3 seperate files, not entirely sure on how to keep it as a Zip. If you could go ahead and install it for me and give me instructions from there that would be greatly appreciated.

Well here are the steps.
1. Download the .zip
2. Open root explorer
3. Go to sdcard
4. Go to downloads
5. Touch and hold .zip file you downloaded
6. Hit move
7. Now get out of SD card and go to sysyem .
8. Go to media folder
9. Set permission
10. Rename existing boot to bootanimation.zip1
11. Paste the boot animation that you downloaded.
12. Set permissions like in first post.
13. Reboot and enjoy!

I'm rocking your xda boot love it how do I get it to be blue do I just change every jpg in the zip to blue? if ur still taking requests a dragon boot animation would rock the g2x

Depends on what you want blue. Currently I am resting but will get back to taking requests soon. I will be posting random boots I see that are cool. Might even edit them to make them better.

I got the dragon animation but what do you want at the end of the animation? Do you want an image or a loop?

Also, could you do one for my hp touchpad? Its 1024-768 display. I understand if you don't want to do that one I just thought it would look sweet on the bigger screen.

Terminator Animation is done, but I will upload both the regular sized and large sized with the Halo animation when it is finished. Starting on Halo Animation now. You can expect them to be uploaded tomorrow! :laugh:

OK guys there's a problem. Not the whole video will fit in the time you boot your phone unless you want it to speed up about 15 times. I will have to cut off some of the halo and terminator animations. What do you guys think would be good for about 30 seconds? First post gets to decide.

Well what do you mean "what would be good for about 30 seconds"? I would still love the terminator animation cut off. I kinda thought you would have to do that. Can you remove the beginning part instead of the end?
