[BOOT/DOWN ANIMATIONS][SPLASHES] HTC One x Evo LTE

this boot ani is huge....
there is two parts and over 400 images total.
i really dont think youll be able to see the entire boot animation unless you are flashing a new rom because it takes longer to boot.
hope this one works for you guys :good:
oh, this is for aosp roms again. sorry i forgot to change the update script.
push the boot ani to etc/customize/resource, rename it to whatever the bootanimations name is, and change the permissions to rw-r-r if youre using this on sense 5
(sorry i dont have this phone anymore so i dont remember the boot ani name for sense 5 and i might have the direcetory name incorrect, search around if im wrong :laugh

Sorry for the delay in getting back.

This boot ani works great - I can actually see the entire animation even on normal re-boot. The problem (if any) is that after the animation ends, it loops the splash image and a white screen for a couple of times and then boots up.

It isn't a big deal and I'm not much of a programmer but I think there is some code that is looping the splash ani instead of boot ani..

Anyways, awesome work once again. :good:
Now, I show my friends having the Moto X that their boot ani is not really unique to their device & if required, I can even change the boot ani.. LOL!! :laugh: They aren't into rooting, so it's funny while they scratch their heads!!

Ill look into it either tonight or tomorrow brother.
Im deodexing the stock rom for the g2 and then working on my own rom right now too but ill try and fix this up for you first :beer:

just fyi,
if you running on sense 5 4.2.2 chubbz b4
you must change the bootanimation to HTC_bootanimation.zip and HTC_downanimation.zip
and change the CID default.xml
- Now open to: system/customize/CID/default.xml
- Go down the file until you see: "<BootConfiguration>"
- Under that you will see: "<BootAnimation animation="/system/customize/resource/hTC_bootup_one.zip" change to HTC_bootanimation.zip and "/system/customize/resource/htc_downanimation.zip" change to HTC_downanimation.zip
- Go all the way over until you see where it says: "fps="
- Change the fps to "24"
- Save the file

Yes. Boot animations and splash screens are not restricted to Android version, and not even to devices, to my knowledge. You just need the correct resolution for the animation/splash screen.

Can I rename the file to the default and replace the file instead of flashing? The same way you would push a modded apk?

Edit: I was able to replace it this way and changed the fps as stated above but didn't have an animation. Just a black screen. Not sure if I did it wrong or if I got a bad download.

That's because your renaming a flashable zip. You need to open the zip, and change the name of the boot animation zip file located in the inside of the flashable zip.

I am having a similar problem. I tried the 4 boot and shutdown animation zips in every way possible and I only get the black splash followed by the "Android" on a black background. Didn't I screw up here? Doesn't that mean the stock kernel isn't write enabled and is not recognizing the zips? Its literally my first day back on this device since 2 weeks after it launched. I have a One M7 but I wanted another of these because they're solid and the latest RUU reminds me of a tamer M7 when it cane out but there ARE similarities. I fear I may need to dig out the 4 stock animations because I was tired and didn't check if a stock kernel would act up...any thoughts?

Going back a few pages, am I the only one who is jammed up on the RUU of 4.3 well the newest one...lol. I nOObed big time or I am so tired now that I am missing something idiotic. I just need to get straightened out before Wednesday morning because Hawaii is waiting for me!! ;p

OK I have everything under control except my splash screen will be similar to NY One M7 that is inverted everywhere from the splash screen to my recovery TWRP theme as well as all inverted apps. Blacked out technology just looks tough and sexy...lol. I will post screenshots and links for any apps, icons, custom extras, whatever anyone wants. I just want to adjust the splash screen so the cat who posted links gets his due and there are 2 choices! Oh and some wallpapers I modified... Lol. I am happy someone stepped up and helped so I will pass links for all of the good stuff ... Some are difficult to get. Back shortly though!
