edite 2 : after reboot root is gone but xposed is active and working !!!
Fixed, flash the boot image manually extracted from CF-Auto root boot image folder and flash it with temporary TWRP (switch to install image).

Download this stock boot.img, patch it with magisk manager and then flash the patched boot.img to phone in fastbootboot mode using fastboot adbWhat are the complete steps to root?
Yes it will get updates but only if you root using Magisk, using supersu will bootloop your phone after a new updateone noob question : will the rooted mi a1 get further OTA updates?
I update my A1 to oct 1 and I try to root with CF that,Download this stock boot.img, patch it with magisk manager and then flash the patched boot.img to phone in fastbootboot mode using fastboot adb

Do not flash patched kernels. Just use CFAR: https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:1748/firmware:13240/download/t1.cfar/landingI update my A1 to oct 1 and I try to root with CF that,
Next my A1 reboot, and WIFI is broken
I don't know how can I do
Use CFAR or TWRP + Magisk.will this root the latestest android ota ?
or should i wait until rom comes in patched .img?
not sure what to do
ok soDo not flash patched kernels. Just use CFAR: https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:1748/firmware:13240/download/t1.cfar/landing
Use CFAR or TWRP + Magisk.
So I don't need exchange boot.img, just use original img file?Use CFAR or TWRP + Magisk.
1. No. Just run "root.bat" script from unpacked CFAR archive. Device must be in bootloader mode. Bootloader must be unlocked. Wait, until process end and after reboot install apk SuperSU.ok so
- i should patch lastest CFAR (same build i have) from temporary TWRP or miflash, right?
-2nd question : what's the use of unlocking the bootloader? allowing temp TWRP boot or flash custom recovery ? is that absolut necessity (unlocking) ? i just want the root to kill the ads.
-3rd question : not sure if miflash needs unlocked bootloader or not.
-4th question : miflash can flash whatever you want it to flash, like odin? even nonofficial firmwares?
-5th question : i read about A/B slots, do i have to choose which slot to install CFAR in? is it auto?
so if i understood evrything correctly i just have to (unlock bootloader?) flash latest CFAR from [temp twrp] or miflash, install supersu & voila! ?
- and last question : messing with system will kill OTAs but i can flash next CFARs manually ?
i know thats many questionsthanks for your patience
i need to understand the whole process before trying anything. #noob
