Boot Loop

I want to give my S3 to my niece, which has Cyanogenmod [KitKat] installed as the ROM. I did a factory reset in recovery and when I rebooted, it was stuck in a boot loop, that is, the Cyanogenmod logo with the arrow spinning around. Any thoughts, please? Thanks.

Did you try wiping cache and Dalvik in recovery?
