Boot Sounds

Is it possible to add your own boot sounds by renaming any audio "htc_boot.mp3" and placing it in this folder "system/customize/resource" via Root explorer?

I think you can. But you also have to change permissions on the file to rw-r-r ... I think. Theres as good how to for making your own boot animations in the themes and apps section by racinwarrior...check it out.
