Hi All,

Moto G4 Plus XT1643 is my phone model.
Was not being used for past 6 months, and it got stuck the boot screen .
Tried the factory reset, it got stuck in the fast boot.
Then tried the tool given by Lenovo, no luck. The "fast boot" option in the software fails.
Anyway, came to our good old XDA.
tried the options in the forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...c-01-security-patch-fastboot-7-0-8-1.3608138/
Now, i am stuck with the below screens, i have attached them
Allso, do i need to start a separate thread?
Kindly help me out.
Fastboot reason: Reboot mode set to fastboot
this is it
did you use a script to flash stock or did you flash all parts step by step?
at the beginning there is a
fastboot oem fb_mode_set this means fastboot always reboots to bootloader/fastboot to make sure all is done before reboot to system
at the end, when all files are flashed and all /data /cache etc is erased there is a
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear to clear the lock
fastboot reboot

unlock bootloader again in "normal" fastboot mode / "Start"
do not use a flashing script, do every single fastboot step in terminal, search for flashfile.xml with necessary steps

Ok, the script i used is attached. I have renamed the .bat to .txt to upload here.
Apologies for asking simple questions :
1. Are you asking me to issue step by step commands instead of running the batch file , i will do that. FYI, i will be using command prompt. not sure if this is what you meant by terminal.
2. there is no "fastboot oem fb_mode_set" in the script that i have uploaded here.
3. I have attached the ROM that i tried to use.
Please let me know

you have XT1643 INDIA - I don't know if this is the right firmware
here is a ATHENE_RETIN Version: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1899786940962583542
flash in this "normal" fastboot mode, don't change by volume buttons
You can use the script, if you want to. By doing it step by step, you might better follow the result of each step.
if it reboots to fastboot again try a: fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
and fastboot reboot
terminal is the command prompt in linux :)

fastboot mode:

Thanks for the suggestions. i tried the commands step by step and still the same. I also tried issuing the
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
followed by fastboot reboot.
It comes back to the same screen, attaching it below.
Ok, i also used the ATHENE_RETIN version you have provided

So, last solution could be the Advice given in the fastboot Error: "Use the Software Repair Assistant ...."
this is LENOVO-MOTO-SMART-ASSISTANT - Rescue and Smart Assistant
since you have a locked bootloader, this could be the last chance before giving it to repair service
I've never used it, but they have a repair button :)
