i made sure that USB Debugging Mode was enabled. Maybe i'm missing a step. This is what i'm doing. Mounting the SD card to my PC. Extracted the Bootanimation Installer and put the bootanimation that i want into the bootanimation folder that is extracted from the .rar file. Open the Bootanimation Installer, select the bootanimation.zip, then select Push Selected Bootanimation. It then says it's done and asks if i want to reboot. i reboot and the old bootanimation still appears and when i go into the data/local folder, there is no bootanimation.zip file. what is it that i'm doing wrong?
It's weird, seems like it's dont being copied, due to some windows permissions problem (I thought running as admin will solve the issue, but it dont)

I haven't tried this, but I saw a couple of people trying to do this with an MiUI-based ROM, and I'll tell you now, pushing the bootanimation.zip file to /system/media or /data/local won't work.

You have to push the file in the MiUI-based ROM's to /data/system/theme1/boots. Or else create your bootanimation into a MTZ file, and install it that way.

About your Vibrant, who's the chef of your ROM ? You might wanna ask whoever cooked it if they disabled bootanimations in it. I know that Wolfbreak has a thing called FUGU Tweaks that disables it in his for the X10a / X10i, but it can also be completely disabled in other ways, too. So you might wanna look into that.

Hey D4:

I now have a Galaxy Mini (S5570L) and I was checking this installer, however I'm not entirely sure but maybe there's a big problem with the bootanimation in that phone (at least in FroYo, latin american phones haven't been updated to GB), there are actually 2 files in /system/media, however both of the have the qmg extension, I can send you those files but I'm not sure that'll help

Let me know if you want those files, the stock samsung bootanimation is boring as hell

Thanx

@d4 is it possible to add an option so that we can change the initlogo as well? Or should it be flashed with custom kernel?
