Here's the boot animation for the 4.1.1 update to Jelly Bean. It was pulled from the Galaxy Nexus OTA as listed in this thread and resized for the Nexus S.

This is not a flashable zip, you need to use an app such as Root Explorer to move the downloaded bootanimation.zip to system/media/

That's a good idea, I went and had a quick look and it doesn't seem to be that difficult to do. However mine keeps force closing and I can't really be bothered right now, but here's all the images you'll need if anyone wants to try themselves.

I'll have another bash later.

Will this work for the NS4G aslo? I've never really done small tweaks like this. Also are all the themes for the nexus s and 4GS the same? Meaning are the interchangeable? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance!

I'm using it on the NS4G right now. Themes work by which ROM you're running usually. But some ROMs that work for the NS, won't work for the NS4G. That's my take any way, I'm a bit new at this.

That's correct. Theme files and things like boot animations can quite often be ROM independent, but the differences between the Nexus S and the Nexus S 4G are only an issue when flashing ROMs.
