This is an awesome bootanimation but I can't edit the txt file :-/ I put the zip file with root manager into the right folder and I can open the txt file but can't edit them. Can someone tell me with which app do you edit the file or post the bootanimation with a wvga resolution here?

Thanks in advance!

You can use root explorer to edit.

Find the file, press & hold on the file, select open in text editor

Wait a sec,

A one minute bootup sequence? That's waay too long. Yeah, it's cool looking (if not boring) but after a few days, it'll get annoying and you'll want to go back to stock or something quicker.

The boot sequence only last as long as it takes to boot up your device. It will loop the sequence only as long as it takes to boot up, I could be wrong. But I believe I am right. In the desc.txt it only runs through the part 0 folder, it will loop those files until the device boots up, it is not set to a certain time limit.

    2. Reboot your phone into recovery.

    3. Choose install zip from sd card.

    4. Choose zip from sd card.

According to the popular requests, I modified the animation to different resolutions.

    Instructions:

    1. Download the required file to your sdcard & rename it to bootanimation.zip

    2. Use root explorer to go to system/media, system/customize/resource or data/local depending on your rom.

    3. Now manually replace the orginal bootanimation.zip with the downloaded file.

    4. Now reboot & enjoy .

    Download the required version below

    Phone Version

    qHD (960×540) , FWVGA (854×480) , WVGA (800×480) , HVGA (480×320) , QVGA (320×240)

    Tab Version

    WXGA (1280×800), WSVGA (1024×576/600), XGA (1024×768), Touchpad (1024×768)

    Code:
Go to the [B]desc.txt[/B] file in [B]/data/local/bootanimation.zip[/B]
Now Change the values according to the preferred resolution.
    [B]540 960 15[/B] (for qHD )
    [B]480 800 15[/B] (for WVGA )

MIUI users extract the bootanimation.zip and put it in /data/system/theme/boots/

Mind sharing the source, so that we(i) can make high res version(s)!
You can change the resolution by going to the desc.txt file.

I just updated the post, Please refer to it.
