Should work with most ROMs... there are some ROMs that don't allow you to change your boot animation without some mod.

Just download and copy to your system/media folder
Rename the file bootanimation
Change permissions to rw-r-r
Reboot and enjoy

Also heard the app called boot animation from the play store can be used to easily change boot animations.
