This is the first Boot Animation of my LG G3 Kollection to come and there will be plenty more to arrive shortly, see link below...

*Note* ALL BOOT ANIMATIONS ARE IN FULL 1440X2560 SCREEN RESOLUTION, Gifs are not actual size and may not play at the correct speed as BootAnimation or ShutDownAnimation.​

Instructions​

Recommendations​

:

Move the newly downloaded bootanimation.zip and shutdownanimation.zip into the /system/media folder-> select both files or one or the other, change the permissions to 644 or rw-r-r . I prefer to set both the bootanimation.zip and the shutdownanimation.zip to rw-r-r-T the “T” is a special permission in most Root Explorer (used to keep the startup screen from interrupting the boot animation on longer animations.) Once permissions are set, go ahead and refresh the file and power/restart and Enjoy!

This is the actual image for the Shutdown Animation, the playtime is shorter than the Bootanimation, this will also curb some of the issues others were having. Speed is faster.​

>> NOTE << if you are seeing the Notification Bar and the Navigation Bar during the Shutdown go into -> Settings-> Display-> Home Touch Buttons-> and Remove the Gradation setting. Removing the Gradation will display the Boot and Shutdown animations in FULL SCREEN.

This is a Work in Progress... ONLY WORKS ON the QUICK CIRCLE COVER at the present time....

For now I had to get something up as I'm tired of looking at that stock Boot Animation in the Circle cover, well, for me it has been more or less a black hole. This is booting and playing, it runs, changes when the cover opens and closes, not all there yet, but the change is a good thing. I will have it completed shortly and updated very soon.

i cant get it to work. looks like my bootanimation is somehow hardcoded. even if i removed it in /system/media folder and placing the boot and shutdown animation from here, it still loads my crap provider's bootanimation and shutdown animation. any ideas??

Did you try it with tools like ROM toolbox or others?
May I ask what provider logo is included in your bootanimation?

nope didnt use rom toolbox, its a local provider here in singapore.. (starhub).

when you power on the phone it will show the lg logo, then afterwards it'll show starhub.

If you could either pm a copy of your media folder to me or pm some screenshots of the contents of what is in the media folder, I'd be happy to see if I can find out what is preventing the bootanimation from running.

Used to drive me crazy when I'd change the bootanimation just to have it cut short cause my phone's too fast!

yeah i got this plus shutdown animation. tried to dump on my other folder then reboot. lg logo shows then next screen is blank. i tot it bootlooped but thank god it didnt

I've got as far as changing the .zip file permissions, however, it says "changing permissions was not successful. Please note that some file systems do not allow permission changes." I don't understand why as the files are on the emulated partition and not my SD card. Does anyone have any ideas?
