Xperia Z2 Google Edition boot animation

The walkman's icon have a white spot in the gif. Don't worry, you won't have it in the boot animation, it's only a bug with the gif creator ;)

Installing :

With recovery :

  • Flash Bootanimation_XZ2.zip in recovery
  • Reboot
  • Enjoy

Without recovery :

  • Download Bootanimation.zip and copy to your sdcard
  • Copy it (and replace it, if already exists) in /system/media
  • Change permissions to rw-r--r-
  • Reboot
  • Enjoy

Hi,

very nice!!!

A question:

Rom Version: RomAur v3.1

I've tried everything, but my custom bootanimation audio doesn't play.

Tried .ogg, .mp3. Renamed in bootanim.mp3/ogg. Edited desc file, added "s" string.

I've tried also putting audio file in these folders:

1) system/media
2) system/media/UI

Any idea???

Thank you.

you mean i can flash the original bootanimation.zip through recovery or i'll have to do the "without recovery " method?

you can do both:
1. extract original, paste it into the flashable zip from post #1 and flash it through recovery OR
2. extract original, copy it to sd-card and replace the installed bootanimation in /system/media (overwrite it) - don´t forget to set perm rw-r-r

reboot
