8 frames isn't much. I set the framerate to 15fps.

Two versions. A flashable, and a manual install that you'll have to rename to "bootanimation.zip":

http://www.mediafire.com/file/cv7i7fh7zs1xpod/SleepingFox-1440p-bootanimation.zip

Thank a lot! This flashed without any issues, but at 15fps the animation is a little too quick and the fox looks like it's hyperventilating haha. Would you be able to make it with the same frame rate as the fox from the first post? I'm hope I'm not asking too much of you, thanks in advance!

We can try this:

Wasn't aware of the version in the OP.

Hello guys
I have a a5 2017 a5y17lte with brain new flashed pixel experience android 9.0 and root with magisk.

I love these animations but if i try to flash one with twrp it says succes and when booting, i don't see anything. The google animation is still there

I even tried the other method with moving to system-media with permissions but when booting it starts with another stock android animation.

If someone knows how to fix it
Please, i realy like those animations.

Edit: i also tried to delete this bootanimation files.
It worked for the (bootanimation.dark.zip) which seems to be the google animation but the other (bootanimation.zip) wich is the stock android animation comes back everytime

I think that's why i can't install the custom one.

So i need to force delete it.
Does someone know how to do that?

I'd check with the ROM developer in the thread for that ROM/device.

Where did you get the ROM from that you're usining on your phone? XDA?

A quick search for your phone/ROM (Galaxy A5 2017/Pixel Experience brought up this forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017

There are question & answer sections there. It's an easy post.

The closest I can find to your ROM is this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...fficial-pixel-experience-9-0-android-t3885229

You could post a question in there like:
"I've installed Pixel Experience for my Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) (a5y17lte), and wanted to change the boot animation. The I can't seem to delete and replace the /system/media/bootanimation.zip file. It looks like it works when I try to do it, but it returns back to the original Pixel animation that came with the ROM when I reboot. Why am I doing wrong?"

Thanks, i posted a question there!

Question, will this work for modern day Android Q?
No it only gives root by downgrading to android 5.1.1. The benefit is you can make changes and modds but the android level is 5.1.1, unless some developer can figure something out to flash into a higher android and keep root. I am not a developer but share this info if anyone wants root.
